So what’s the holy grail of gold farming now that HoT’s been released? I’m talking the highest rate of gold per hour. Is farming the Silverwastes still the best option at this point? Or are there better alternatives?

Farming silverwastes seems to be still on top (not counting tp obviously). You could also farm fractal 40 for minimum 60s per run. Nothing more comes to my mind tbh

Highest gold rates will always be farming the mats that are currently in demand and yield a high value. Unfortunately, those change on a daily or weekly basis, so you would have to alter your route and think for yourself.

That is not true. The number of mats u get per hour is very different depending on the farming method. Some farms may include more of those, some less thus making you different gph. Farming nodes is not a reliable way of earning gold since gatherable mats are cheap (besides ori, ancient wood, flax) and said nodes are actually rare.

Thus, for me the best way of earning gold right now is doing fractal 40 with champ skip. There are many parties in lfg, give it a try. 60s minimum comes from selling fractal encryptions (u might want to save them for patch), not counting t5/t6/rare mats that drop and magi/cavalier/soldier exos and rares. I could get around 20 gph when i was really lucky and around 9 when i decided to deposit mats and had no luck with exos.

Silverwastes are a good source of piles of coarse sand which is needed for guild halls. Despite that, silverwastes is in the same spot as before because of t6 prices falling down a lot after HoT. This way it is still by far the best place to farm.

If you have HoT, you might want to park chars at flax spot under Itzel. Farming events is worthless but if u have some aurilium u might wanna snipe some Tarir defense and farm chests below. Those are easily accessible if u use lfg to get into done Tarir, unlike ones on other maps.

Tbh, after dungeon nerf it is hard to earn pure gold. Most of gold comes from mats, but the more u farm the more prices drop….. So yeah it is kinda kittened up now.

Wait, what? How does that work exactly? You sell the encryptions you get as rewards? How many do you usually get?

Gathering mats arent cheap, lots of them gained more than 100% since HoT released.
T6 fine mats lost 50% since hot, t5 mats arrived at a couple of copper over vendor value, so i dont know why you would even mention those. They arent worth much more than t5 leather before hot.

At the moment the optimal farm involves opening your wallet and entering your credit card number. This is likely working as intended.

Gathering mats is cheap. You are farming 10s per node at max (on good nodes and those are rare) , that IS cheap. t5 rares are still valuable and fractals drop mostly those, although normal t5 is 1-2s each so it isn’t worthless for sure. If u give me gold per hour research on a repeatable node route then maybe i can reconsider this being a thing but for now it is just a fun, casual way of earning few gold that doesn’t involve any group. But if we are talking about getting some serious gold, running some funny nodes isn’t even a thing.

Encryptions sell for 20s on TP (usually) and u get 3 of them. 1 run should be around 3 minutes or less, so 20 runs per hour with a good group. That gives you 12 gold from boxes. Besides that u get a lot of items and rare mats that can sometimes sell well or salvage to ecto + insignia. Apparently, it isn’t easy to keep a good pace with a pug group though so income is fairly less then since time might be up to 5 min. Loading times also are a factor here.

Gathered mats are between 2-3s a piece. t5 fine materials are at copper value. I don’t even see how you can argue, especially for the fact that you can reliably get 150+ iron and 150+ platinum ore in less than 25 minutes. But don’t mind me, I’m pretty happy that you’re farming t5 materials, makes them cheaper for me

Pretty much nothing in this post is true.

T5 mats are between 15-20 COPPER, not even close to 1-2s.

Running maps with soft wood and Iron can yield significant profits. Especially if you have multiple characters near the rich nodes.

SW is also a good option since Sand is highly desired and selling well.

You can do the fractal exploit as well, but you run a good risk of getting banned by exploiting the game, so do it at your own risk.

Flax farming while playing event maps is still good income as well.

Yes especially when u talk about iron rich nodes being profitable (20s much profit rofl) Skipping in fractals is as bannable as was bugging mai trin, double damage on teq and so on. Funny because i can’t find any research on gold per hour when farming nodes. Is that 5 gph tasty? And after u do the node route what will u do for next few hours?

Just farming the 3 blooming passifloras in ssc gives you 2-3g.
You are making fun of 20s for iron but say than farming 3 20s encryptions per run is good?

Your farm is heavily gated behind gear and progression checks and it has to be done with a highly trained party, if you want runs to be completed in 3 min.
With a party of 5 noobs, i would probably make more gold farming karkas in ssc, as any veteran has a guaranteed drop of a karka shell besides all the other stuff you get.

Just checked: encryptions sell for 15s not 20s.

Uh what? Have you EVER been to a Teq? Every single map stacks in the double damage spot for burns, nobody gets banned for it.
