Cyberpunk Race?
It would be problematic having it in game/
The Charr are steampunk and cyberpunk kind of clashes with that, and the Asura’s Golems are meant to be very technologically advanced s- Cyborgs would make Golems redundant.
I am a big lover of Cyberpunk… played TSR’s Cyberpunk since Friday Night Firefight in 1988, still play CP2020. High fantasy stuff is usually way out of my realm of interest since I love near/darrk future stuff so much. Mixing it into GW2? No.
There is already a LOT of Cyber/steam/clockpunk and futuretech in GW2, even to the point of feeling a bit forced. Armoured knights in armour with swords even look a little anachronistic sometimes. If you want to RP a Cyborg, fit one of the cyber style eyepatches, make your character’s skin pale and type in chat Dalek-style.
I think it would be quite interesting to see the Queen’s Watchwork Soldiers as playable after Scarlet’s story has passed and she is done hijacking them. Armor designs could be replacement parts ala Cyborg Justice from Sega Genesis days. Instead of wearing clothing, an armor skin is a different aesthetically designed mechanical component. I think I’ll fantasize about this for a while and play it out and design the different component appearances in my mind as it would likely never, ever happen in GW2. Actually, I think I’ll draw the designs as a little project.
