DONT CREATE ANY MORE CONTENT PLEASE
I don’t get any lag, rarely at any rate.
I would appreciate them fixing alot of the more annoying bugs and issues though. Such as their Z-Axis issues, fall damage bugs, leaps/rushes, etc.
I rarely get lag. But is having bad lag today.
Not sure what’s going on.
Lags/DCs occured quite often to me and my guildies with the update of wintersday 2014/15 but I think they fixed that now.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I get some lag sometimes, but as I’m in Australia, I sort of expect that. It’s not usual for me in games. I don’t get more lag in Guild Wars 2 than other MMOs I’ve played.
You might want to get rid of that Fisher Price internet. I’ve been playing since launch and never really saw any lag issues.
While I think OP is overreacting, blaming all lag on the client side is a mistake. I often play with guild mates spread all over Europe (on the European servers), usually dungeons or fractals. It happens regularly we all start lagging at the same time. Nothing really gamebreaking usually, but I doubt we all have unreliable providers that somehow synchronise their bad spells.
The lag is largely a personal issue. Deal with it.

i just can’t play today. I’ll wait a while to see if things change.
stop being so harsh on other people. It could be regional problem.
It’s fun that there are always people that thinks everone at a gamecompany is working on the same thing.
I mean if A-net has a kitchen it sounds like Radiobiology.6185 want the chefs and cooks to stop making food and get over to the internet office and fix the problems. Radiobiology.6185 want every personell at A-nets office to fix his/her lag instead of doing anything else.

Dont create any more content at all untill you fix the kittening lag, please.
And of course don’t create any more content before you have cured cancer
and before you have given us world peace.
Or in other words : ANet is not the owner of the Internet and they can’t fix it.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Um… if you got a problem with your internet, take it up with your ISP.
Also: the people who create content are not the people who would fix the lag, even if such a thing were possible.

Makes me wonder how many people think they have “lag” when in fact they’re getting poor fps.
I used to have “lag” too until I got a 4790k I7. Now the game runs like melted butter floating on water.
When complaining about lag, you should really specify NA or EU (both where you are and which GW2 servers you’re connecting to).
Dont create any more content at all untill you fix the kittening lag, please.
Since you are EU,

Short version: problems with the EU networks which ArenaNet can’t simply fix.
You might want to get rid of that Fisher Price internet. I’ve been playing since launch and never really saw any lag issues.
Same. Sadly, this issue is on the OP’s side, as it is with 99.9% of all online gamers who ever complained about lag. Its either your PC has issues or your internet is terrible.

^Both of their points.
Don’t expect the game to run smoothly on something that was built in 2005.
Though, general optimizations would be appreciated – and they have implemented a bit since launch. Plus they said it’s an on-going background process that happens (as in worked on, not always implemented/released) each patch.

I get hardly any lag, only a little sometimes, but not very much – very surprising, since I have terrible broadband.
My phoneline is quite literally the old copper wire type, AND it’s shared with several other farms, and this after travelling over 9 miles across hills and fields from the nearest exchange lol… I just checked my download speed, it’s 0.737 Mb/s, and the upload speed wasn’t enough to measure lol! So tbh if you have a ‘normal’ phone/broadband connection you shouldn’t really be getting any lag at all and it may be time to have a word with your bb provider
