With the release of the Nvidia 900 series, a lot of people are going to be downsampling this game from 4K.

Surprisingly enough, this works really well even on a single 970 for me – I’m still playing with 60FPS running around doing dailies by only sacrificing reflections (will you ever fix those?), Ultra quality shadows and highest detail character models.

However, the interface setting ‘largest’ is woefully tiny on 4K. It’s just about usable, although the cursor doesn’t exactly point properly. You have to pay attention to what’s highlighted rather than where the tip of the cursor is.

I would say that even when downsampling from 1440p the largest interface setting is still on the small side.

So please Anet – tweak the interface scaling options. It shouldn’t take too long to do, and more and more people are going to be downsampling this game in the coming months (or indeed, playing on actual 4K screens).

4k screens for gaming? Meh.
Of course, support for those who have it would be a good thing.
I’ll wait another 2-3 years before even considering 4k.
Hell, my desk is to small anyway

You touched the shiny, didn’t you?

Isn’t supersampling already the same as downsampling from 4k? Because this is an ingameoption

It’s not clear what the SS in the game options does precisely or to what extent. It certainly goes nowhere near up to 4K, though.

Supersampling off plus DSR @ 1440p looks completely different to 1080P without DSR and smoothing.

While the suggestion is valid, it should be WAY, WAY, WAY, down on the to do list. How about they fix the tons of bugs that still exist from release before we cater to the 1% that want to waste money on 4K gaming displays….

That’s the second person to mention 4K displays and I think people aren’t getting it.

My original post was in reference to DSR – a new feature in all 900 series GPUs currently available. It gives the option for full-on, easy downsampling from a range of resolutions up to and including 4K. The 900 series cards are selling like nobody’s business.

This is a feature that many people are going to be taking advantage of already.

The only time I mentioned 4K screens was in a throw-away line, in brackets, at the end of my post.

The UI is in need of many changes that are not just for those 1% with a 4k monitor. This is something that should be WAY, WAY, WAY up the list. I use a 1080p monitor but I and many others would love to be able to tweak the UI with placement and size. There has been some decent size threads on this already and as the OP mentioned, the new 900 series GPUs from Nvidia make it even more important to get them implemented.
