Dailies:
For PvE .. make it random 4 out of Fractals 1 – Fractals 50 .. so much choices there
and everybody would really enjoy this.

I’ve often thought the “events” daily should at least be in a random area per player. Having everyone trying to tag events in a single area isn’t always fun and doesn’t always generate cooperative behavior. The events go so quickly and the mobs melt so quickly that it’s often a rush to tag before the event is gone, and if you’re 5 seconds to slow to arrive, it generates frustration.
IMO….
- Include a “custom” daily. One of your 3 dailies is a wildcard, and you may pick any daily not available today. It will not give out a reward chest though and only counts for the purpose of getting 3/3
- Make the gathering dailies non specific. It’s just annoying to go just for this daily and shuns wvw.
- Make the event completer region specific. It’s annoying when lots of people crowd in just to tag events plus encouraging people to spread out isn’t bad.
- Change “Daily Fractal” to “Daily Dungeon or Fractal” ; I don’t know why dungeons keep getting left out
- Make World Boss Dailies non specific. Goes without saying. I don’t want to wait that long around for a specific world boss to spawn.
- Change WvW Veteran Creature Slayer to “Veteran or Champion Creature Slayer”; this one is also weirdly specific and it’s annoying to wait for respawns— then again, I am not sure if many people come on to wvw to do such kinds of pve.
- Bring back ambient killer as a region specific daily. I thought it was funny.
- Bring back Daily Crafter; that could actually gave luck a secondary use!
Currently, I think a lot of the pve dailies are too specific compared to the pvp and wvw counterparts, meaning I rarely end up doing the pve dailies unless they’re precisely not out of the way. I think I suggested things that will keep the ideas intact without as much annoyance.

People that normally play together would complain if their dailies were different.
If you want people to spread out, the best they could do is make the tasks less specific. Instead of focusing on a single area, they could give you multiple choices or simply base it on the region. For example, instead of bloodtide coast event completer, it would be krytan even completer or a choice of bloodtide coast, dredgehaunt cliffs or iron marches.
Personally, I wish they would go back to the old daily system, which allowed you to complete various tasks in any part of the world. The old “Event” daily had you doing events…anywhere. Same with collecting, killing monsters, whatever. It was easier to do.
For all the changes they made to make the game easier (like not making people feed cows, which wasn’t hard to begin with), they made the dailies harder to accomplish, especially if the requirements take you someplace your character hasn’t been.
Imho, they’re fine as is, at least the PVE ones. Don’t usually do the others.
The harvesting stuff makes you visit different regions, even when you’re not usually there. Even for people who find it annoying, this can be done quite quickly, and then you can return to whatever you wanted to do.
Fractals are already cooperation, what do you want to change there to get more cooperation? Only thing I’d maybe change is to make it so you can’t get two fractal missions at the same time, for people who don’t do fractals it’s blocking other possible dailies. But then again, you’ll get both dailies in one fractal run, that’s kinda nice. Also if it’s dailies for everyone, it makes it easier to find a group, does it not?
World bosses are also coop, with or without dailies, random or not. Not sure how randomizing that would give rise to better cooperation?
Mystic forger does not need to be mentioned in any way, I suppose.
And as for event completer, I think it’s better if everyone has the same region. Now of course you’ll have people flocking to the same events and sometimes you arrive too late. But it’s also nice to have many people on the map, who’ll ping any events in chat. If players are split up in different zones, there’ll be less of that. So with everyone on the same zone, I feel like there’s actually more cooperation. Also, correct me if I’m wrong, I was under the impression more people on a map actually made events spawn faster/more, which would make it easier to complete the daily? Not 100% sure on that one though.
As for more challenging, not sure what could be more challenging when PVE dailies are random, except maybe a few less people at a boss or the higher need to search out/do events for yourself.

In the end yeah .. more or less revert it back to what we had before .. like do
4 events anywhere in the world. Something like events in Shiverpeaks would
also be better.
I have no problems with the daily gatherer since that one at least is region and
not zone specific.
Else i am also for simply more choices .. like before where we often had 6 or more
choices for PvE stuff.
And stopp the dual fractal kitten .. some people will not go into your kitten
fractals no matter how hard you try to shove them there.

I just checked in with all the responses to date. A lot of good ideas, and to clarify, I’m looking for more incentive to co-operate with new people as well as greater challenges, thus my promotion of a random element, or selections (as was suggested in a response). And yeah, Anet, please, dungeons or fractals.

Fractals should honestly get its own category when xpac hits. You could have great ones like:
Kill 100 enemies in Fractals.
Defeat <insert fractal boss>. (since I believe you will be able to select fractals in HoT if I recall)
Deal 1,000,000 damage in Fractals.
Complete a Fractal without being downed.
Blast 50 combo fields in Fractals.
All sorts of options!
