Daily Chest Rewards
So what would you actually propose? I too play on a daily basis and i actually like that the rewards are there but not too much.

Several things:
T6 crafting materials
Weapons and/or weapon skins
Straight up currency – gold/silver/copper
Common collection items
Chance for rare items – Back Lion chest keys, BL ticket scraps, etc.
Item boosters
Temporary QoL bonuses, such as reduced WP costs
I’m not saying eliminate the things above (though I wouldn’t be sad to see them go), as I realize there are people who use them. But they’re way too common and pile up way too quickly.
We already gain straight up currency. Not sure what you’d define as common collection items. Skins you gain fast enough in my opinion.
T6 materials… we also get with a certain Chance i believe.
So… all that’s be left would be Lion Chest Keys, Ticket Scraps, Item Boosters and QoL stuff.

Many of the things on your list can be gotten with the login rewards, already available, not likely to be added.
T6 crafting materials: buy heavy crafting bags with laurels
Weapons and/or weapon skins: every 28 logins there is a chest with an exotic weapon or armor
Straight up currency – gold/silver/copper: 2 gold for each daily already
Item boosters: already get one a month from login rewards.
Common collection items: not sure what you’re asking for here
Temporary QoL bonuses, such as reduced WP costs: this is a guild benefit already. Guilds above a certain level can have reduced wp costs and guildies can get free bonuses from a guild merchant.
Chance for rare items – Back Lion chest keys, BL ticket scraps, etc.: keys are a gemstore item already available with map completion and key running. Since it’s a money maker for ANet I doubt it will become more available than it is. Scraps are tied to keys. Again, a money maker for ANet so unlikely to be given away.
ANet may give it to you.

Let’s throw in legendaries while we’re at it.
You’re talking about the chests you get for completing 1 daily achievement right? If so I think you’re over-estimating their value.
The achievements are supposed to be easy and relatively quick and mainly done to contribute to the overall daily achievement, the stuff in the chest is just a little extra. Awarding boosters or other gem store items seems excessive for viewing a vista or gathering a few nodes or whatever else you have to do for dailies. And the better dailies (like killing a world boss or completing a jumping puzzle) already give additional rewards from the activity itself.
I suppose they could put a weapon in, but to me that would be no different to bloodstone dust or dragonite ore. It would almost certainly be a random green or blue weapon, which means I’d sell it on the TP or salvage it and deposit/sell the materials (and have to sell the sigil). That’s actually more hassle to get out of my inventory than the ascended materials which I just deposit or feed to an ‘eater’ if I have too much.
Alternatively they could always go back to the old system where you got XP – instantly awarded to the character you were logged into at the time – and nothing else.
(Also regarding bloodstone dust, dragonite ore and empyreal fragments why are you keeping so much that you had to upgrade your storage? If you want it for crafting you’re better off converting it to the refined version (bloodstone bricks and whatever the other two are called) because you’ll have to do it eventually and it saves space. If you don’t need more of those you can feed it to one of the ‘eaters’ that turn it into random item bags, or simply delete it because you know you can get more than enough whenever you need it. If you wanted to upgrade your storage anyway that’s fair enough but there’s no need to keep that much of the ascended materials.)
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Dailies used to award laurels (which can be converted into crafting materials and equipment among other things) as well as a chance of black lion goods (including boosters and chest keys). ANet removed these from daily rewards and instead introduced the login rewards that cover these (and more) so people wouldn’t feel forced to do their dailies.
These days, dailies still give generous rewards for what is often just a few second task, including 2 gold for three dailies on any given day, karma, experience, and other stuff people might find useful. Not everyone has the same use for everything though. Personally, I have karma coming out of my ears and rarely ever use it, so I wouldn’t really notice if they reduced/removed the karma reward. On the other hand I’m always short on bloodstone dust and dragonite ore, and wouldn’t mind getting even more of that with my daily chests. See how that works?
Don’t go out of your way for dailies if the reward isn’t something you find useful. If you still finish them in your regular play enjoy a little extra something for no extra effort. This game offers lots of rewards for lots of different gameplay for a reason. None of them should be vastly superior to the other, so you are free to choose what to play. Dailies are no different than other content, and as such, do reward appropriately to the effort involved in my opinion.
I kinda wish we get a “chest of plentiful mystic coins” at the end though like plentiful laurels.
Let’s throw in legendaries while we’re at it.
Every 3rd day the login reward is a random fractal or raid achievement awarded. Participation in said fractal or raid not required.
On a more serious note, I have tons of this stuff too. But at the end of the day you can always sell it, it isn’t like you HAVE to get extra storage for something it seems you have no use for.
Why don’t you look into the obtainable items that actually eat a lot of that dust and ore and give you another box to open that might actually contain something you can use.
I’ve actually salvaged dragonite ore with Princess and got a precursor.
There are about 7 of these items, that can give you inventory space back or something much better to store in that space. Three are from this years story I believe.
You can get 3 eaters from LWS3
1 eater from LWS2
1 eater from that karka hunt collection in LA
1 eater from AB
1 eater from Wintersday
