Daily Healer
Revive 5 allies to complete the task.
This daily task has a unintended consequence. Instead of helping other players. People are letting die so they can revive them.
Proof?
I do understand the incentive, but I didn’t see that happening at all.
“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
If people are so desperate to get the daily straight away rather than getting it naturally then good luck to them I suppose.
Whenever someone “lets” me die when they could have simply gotten me out of the downed state, upon death I immediately port to the nearest waypoint and deny them the rez points they had planned on getting.
I’m pretty sure that saving a player while downed also adds to the tally.
I got my Daily Healer achievement finished after I helped up a downed player I was running Fractals with. Unless I hallucinated that entire run, pretty sure downed counts too.
How’d that work out for us so far?
Now let’s try some ideas that will really work.
You know, there are also NPCs who are down in some areas. Your argument is invalid.
This works on NPC’s as well. There are a TON of events where you need to “retake” a location with a bunch of downed allied NPC’s close by.
It’s just an excuse for trolls to behave badly, can’t blame Anet for the actions of a few. Especially since NPC count as well so you don’t actually need other players to accomplish it. Plenty of dead NPC laying around in the world.
• Have you heard of the city? The ancient uru? Where there was power to write worlds •
Since it works on NPC’s then it isn’t probably not a problem.

It does. Revived means helping a defeated or downed character. Letting someone who was downed die would have no benefit at all.
