So we’ve gotten all these dailys to do every day, and each month we get to complete our monthly?

What about the Yearly? Has anyone figured out how to complete it or if it even exists yet? And if it does not exist yet, why not?

It would/should most likely have some insane requirements, but if we play the entire year. Why not?

Is there a hidden Yearly? Will we seen one soon?

I’d like to. That would be really cool.

Stop using time machines to manipulate reality. 100,000 hours would take nearly twelve years worth of time, non stop playing to get, lol.

That should get you 100 free Legendaries and all the gems you could ever spend until the end of time.

I don’t see the point over such a long time frame. That’s what regular achievements are for. IMO monthly is already pushing it, should have been reduced to weekly instead.

It depends on the requirements. As long as the yearly achievement is not structured to take a year to complete, it would not be a problem. If players were expected to play for a full year or even close to a year, an issue arises:

Not many people aside from children and the unemployed would be able to invest this much time. Most careers have periods of growth and crunch periods, as well as post-secondary programs. The holidays are also a time that many people prefer to spend with old friends and relatives that they have not seen in a while.

If such an achievement would take say, six months, that would give enough wiggle room to allow completion.

Do any of the WvW title achievements. There’s your yearly.

Who am I kidding. That’ll take 10 years.

Just playing this game for a year and not quitting should be an achievement.

Excellent points. Not everyone can afford to play for hours, every day of the year. And even of those who can, there’s no guarantee that they will be able to keep it up for a full year.

The more long-term you set a timed achievement, the more long-term a player’s anxiety about whether they’ll be able to finish it. You would see a LOT of players getting frustrated all Novemeber/December (if they care at all), especially if they get anywhere close to completion. Can you imagine working on something all year, hoping you’ll get there in time, and then making it to 95% or more before you get cut off?

in the hero window, the achievments, do have daily (PvE & PvP) & monthly (PvE & PvP)…. and you noticed there is not a yearly…. what happens when one gets all achievements currently available, that are not part of the daily & monthly? 0o
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement

100%map completion gets you rewards, what does say… 100% jumping puzzles? Slayer? etc. I’d guess just titles, but maybe one gets more if all of them? all per category? I’d guess map completion being part of Legendary process, makes that aspect special and reason for the reward, where as the other achievements do not give rewards (other than the Anet points).

I’d assume Fashion (cultural armor) achievements would require alts and is an account bound achievement. expensive! http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fashion

I’d like to see drop down windows associated with each achievement to add descriptions and or list with checked boxes next to completed aspect of achievement. (like they did in DCUO with Feats)

Yearly Achievement: Complete all the monthly achievements

Reward: 3 blues, 2 greens, 200 karma, 1 copper

That’s what we get for completing everything ELSE in this game, so, why change it? lol

There already are yearly achievements. They are called regular achievements. The reward is pride. That, and a little icon shows up on the bottom right hand side of your screen when you complete it.

Yearly: Still play the game.

Yes, it’s kitten hard and about 50% will not achieve it.

John, this game is plagued with DR’s, yearly would probably take every bit of 6 months game time. Imagine the reward for the completion, then imagine the hoops you’d have to jump through. You would have to have nothing, but time, to complete a yearly. Anyone working 5-8 hours a day, the yearly would be nothing but a pipe-dream. I am currently struggling to get my FotM completed, and have only done 1, or 2 daily’s in the last week.
