Keep in mind that it’s a basic tool. So it shouldn’t be used on stuff you want ectos on.
It should be used on blues/whites.

Interesting stuff! I agree the unlimited salvaging is probably intended for whites and blues. That will be nice not to have keep buying kits for those. The Royal Terrace sounds very promising. And possible hints of the fix for PvE culling?

Well, that is basically because there are no new actual content posted, but rather new features.
He tends to avoid posting story spoilers too much, even if the information is in the dat-file.

It’s a convenience item. You don’t have to go back to merchants and buy kits.
It is odd that they would have a fee associated with it when they introduced infinite picks and sickles without one. But we’ve heard salvaging white and blues can result in bonuses to the new Magic Find mechanic, so perhaps they thought it should have more cost than gathering regular mats.

That salvage kit sounds awful. I have all 3 unlimited harvest tools, but there’s no way im getting this if it’s gonna cost me gems and I still have to pay for my salvages the normal way.
Currently I can buy crude and fine salvage kits with useless karma that I have no other use for. There’s no way im going to stop doing that to use gems and money instead.

-Royal Terrace – looks like an instance where you can do anything that you would normally do in Lion’s Arch (Crafting, forging, banking, tping). Could this be a guild hall as well?

The unlimited Mining implements already released are a much better use of Gems by comparison b/c their hierarchy is T6. Anything short of an unlimited Black Lion Salvage kit with its 50% rarer MATs chance would be a waste compared to how many Mystic Kits we can now make with all these Forge Stones that have just been given to us for free through AP rewards.
Of the new armor, the heavy and medium is decent on both genders.
The light male armor is absolutely nothing like the light female armor, apart from the headpiece. Add in that charr and asura only have one model for armor, and it’s almost always the male one, and this makes me very unhappy.
My female asura elementalist would murder to have the kasmeer style armor. Well, maybe she wouldn’t, but I’d murder so she could look like that. unless ANet change their minds and make an asura model for the kasmeer style armor, that probably isn’t going to happen at all.
The infinite salvage kit… well, as mentioned, mystic salvage kits are basically free right now to a lot of players. If it can’t even match that (and the description makes it sound like just an infinite Crude Salvage Kit), /care

New district in DR does nothing for me. I never go to DR. They could add a “Flying Unicorn” Vendor to DR and I would not go.
“Unlimited Salvaging” …is nothing but a gimmick that will cost you more than it will save. Think of it more like “Emergency Salvage” rather than “Unlimited Salvage”. Because that is truly all it is.
“GMotD and PvP Dishonorable/Leaderboards” – I don’t join guilds and the only PvP I like is solo roaming WvW.
“Treasure Hunting”…is going to be as abysmal as “Archaeology” was to WoW.
“Game Optimizations” Seriously, go buy a gaming rig and stop playing on a laptop. That’s what I have to say for graphics optimizations.

Hey, you play the wrong genre. You should play singleplayer RPGs not massively multiplayer online RPGs.
It’s kind of a shame that people like you aren’t a minority anymore and shape the direction of mmorpgs..
