Daylight Saving Time starts this weekend for those in the US (most states) at 2:00AM Sunday, March 12th. Remember to set your clocks one hour ahead.

This means reset time will move 1 hour ahead; for example, if you use Pacific Time, reset will move from 4PM to 5PM.

As a Pacific Time Zoner, it’ll be nice to finally be home from work before reset.

It’ll be good to be in the same time zone as my brother in Washington State, but yeah, I always have to pause and think if family is now the same time or an hour earlier.

Why in the world you guys would want another hour of sunshine is beyond me! :O

Ha! I was just wondering when it would be Daylight Saving time (thinking maybe late this month or next), looked it up, and was surprised to see it was this weekend. Thought I’d give a heads-up, for those like me….sort of oblivious. Lol.

It’ll be nice to have the sun up for longer in the evening. Granted it will be dark when I go to work, but after working in a server room with no windows all day, it’s nice to get some sun in the evening.

Yes, no windows, but we do have some Windows.

The chief annoyance for me will be that reset will now be exactly when my Sunday 5E game begins, so no more getting dailies out of the way before diving into the Faerun Silvermarches.

That and having dailies be an hour closer to bedtime just means less time to relax overall. I have a habit of logging in just before reset if I am not already in game, doing dailies, then seeing if there’s anything else in game I want to pursue for the evening.

Ha! Think of those of us “down-under”. Right now we are in Daylight savings and are an hour ahead but will soon have to go back.

So it’s all the more confusing for us!

I’m an Australian that runs a guild with mostly NA players in it… this is literally the worst time of year were I have to attempt to do time conversions for everyone for guild related things.

Remind me why we don’t all just use Tyria Time (server time) for game related activity.

This is why all the reset times are UTC.

I don’t because I don’t actually live in Tyria — none of my friends, colleagues, or relatives care about UTC. Even my neighbor who travels often for work converts local time as needed, rather than keeping track of UTC>

In 48 states. Neither Hawaii nor Arizona changes their clocks.

8:00 PM instead of 7:00 for my reset. Hate it.

They have been going live at 11a EST once it flipped over to Standard time last October. At least that’s when existing sales/returning end.

Okay. As mentioned before, I may be suffering from several stacks of Confusion. =P
