Could you PLEASE get rid of this annoying flood control. It is driving me nuts having to wait several minutes to reply to posts. It makes multi-thread presence almost impossible and it slows down the forums ability to maintain a healthy, forward moving discussion. Instead people know they cannot make rapid comments so everyone tend to write up walls of text, which is annoying to read through.

If space is an issue, wipe every post older then 8 months that is not linked to in a sticky post.

I’m pretty sure the several minute wait is a sign that you didn’t maintain a healthy, forward moving discussion at some point.

And a word of advice: Discussing the flood control system is off limits and might increase your wait time between posts

I’ve never even noticed this system existed.

But then I suspect most of my posts would qualify as a ‘wall of text’ by the OP’s standards.

OP, the only people subject to Flood Control are those that have incrued too many infraction points. It will eventually wear off; the time is dictated by how many points need to expire. Good luck.

Increases in the flood control timer are part of our infraction system. The more active points you have, the longer you have to wait between posts. If you wish to ensure your ability to participate in fast-moving discussions, I recommend avoiding making posts that are likely to result in an infraction.
