I was expecting that when I spent 63,000 karma on the Charr T3 weapons that they’d have an added effect over the same weapons I could purchase for 400 karma from a heart vendor…

This was what happened.

So, why exactly should I spend all that hard earned Karma on a weapon that is identical to one without the cost?

Are effects being added to the Adamant Guard set items?

Cultural armor? I wish we could buy for karma.

I looked at the karma weapons and felt like it was too much k for what you get.

Im a big fan of the Ebon vanguard weapon skins. They don’t have effects but they have their own style thats not similar to much else in the game. Unlike the Seraph stuff which is about as vanilla as you can get.

Too bad you’re not Asura, I have the bow, gs, and planning to get the sword/shield. Very nice electrical effect with a purple haze around it (I wish I could change the color of the haze though, but it’s consistent with Asura gates/technology).

Well, it’s not as if the Cultural Weapons where race restricted you know.

the tier 2 ones look much nicer.

@stof: you missed the point. you can find many of these skins in ascalon. they are not race restricted at all. it isn’t just limited to charr cultural weapons either. you can find lots of these skins in class starting areas.

It would be cool if it had an added effect on it. Nothing legendary but something interesting would be nice. But you do have max stats on that Exotic. Other weapons won’t have those stats. So you can use that as your endame weapon which I think is why it costs so much.

I agree with you. I looked around trying to find a good looking staff and this was the one I liked best for my Ele (there does need to be more interesting staff skins, though). I eventually want to get the Legendary but that’s a long term goal and I have no idea if I ever will get it. But for now this is what I’m wearing and I’m happy with it.

The Tier 1 and 3 medium sylvari armor is great. Not a big fan of tier 2.
