Just thought it might help the Devs to look at classes with the most feedback for future patches.

Elementalist – 21 pages
Engineer – 11 pages
Guardian – 10 pages
Mesmer – 10 pages
Necromancer – 15 pages
Ranger – 19 pages
Thief – 17 pages
Warrior – 6 pages

It may not be the best way to compare class issues but here is a very simple count of pages from each class forum for the thread titled Dec 10th patch with a Dev comment. IMO there were sweeping changes to Elementalist and Thief, which may explain the number of pages. There are is an obvious gap with half the classes from this comparison.

Any chance we can get some statistics for number of people playing, classes played, hours played (by class and region (pve/spvp/wvw) for a couple weeks before and after Dec 10th?

Actually warriors are getting hit pretty hard with some nerfage. We understand it, don’t like it, but what can you do?

Pretty simple really, the gods have said, thou shalt not do damage and stun targets together in one individual so effectively. Therefore, you must choose. Do 1 or the other.

This is a request for actual statistics. This is NOT part of the CDI for ‘class balance’ and peoples personal feelings on how the changes will effect their build.

So if the Devs would actually look at the numbers for some kind of indication on which classes need to be reevaluated. Personally I would like to see the numbers, and not some ‘oh look at how good we are’ since these are the best numbers statistics. For example, the numbers for WvW season weeks that show numbers and no ratio.

Only nerf is to some hammer skills, and the weapon’s cc spam and high sustained damage still remains. Healing Signet remains the most OP heal in the game.

to try out light armor or medium armor styles.

When a warrior is threatened by having his god mode challenged.

Said warrior goes into defensive mode. Using block whilst healing with out hindrance.

If he still needs to heal up more. He can use swiftness and mobility skills to out run the enemy (yes even out run thieves). Forcing them to either chase or give up chasing.

Chasing a warrior proves fruitless as the warrior simply resets the fight and is again fighting you at full power.

Thus the only option is to not fight a warrior. Or be one.

Warriors aren’t the intellectual type you know… To play an ele you have to spend 3 months figuring out a good build with your calculator, hit 5 keys a second in battle and compensate for the 3 sec lag avg of every skill, have the best great and all ascended trinkets to compensate for your class beeing the weakest; all this to get beaten to a pulp by a warrior bashing a few keys.

casually though.
just play 3 games for sPvP daily until sPvP monthly is finished.

sometimes my warrior gets taken down when they focus too many conditions on him.

recently i have been roaming alone in WvW and other professions are able to take down my warrior if they try hard enough. or if they gang up on my warrior.

warriors are definitely not god like and can be taken down.

My main is mesmer, i can kill may be 95% of players on WWW. But i can’t do anything against normal current meta warrior, guardian etc. When guardians, zoo necros or rangers just unkillable for example, warriors can survive, stun, hit you with aoe skill for full health / apply over 9k conditions and run away.

Even when i go invis, they just smash air around with point blank skills and bring tons of damage to me. While i can’t do anything. It is not funny.

Why would you spend 3 mnonths figuering out a good build, when these builds already exists / calculations were done and you just have to copy paste? In fact, with access to no information or any data whatsoever, the same can be said for all classes. Lag is relevant for all proffesions, not just the one you play. Ascended trinkets, same answer.

Healing signet is just really absurd. As a full condition necro, it takes 5-10 seconds just to stack enough conditions on him to negate the passive health he is gaining. At that point he is still at full health. Of course it only takes him 3 hits to kill me from full life and I don’t even have a dream of escaping his absurdly powerful mobility or the godlike chain CC. At this point I usually just go get a snack as soon as I see a warrior within range of me and wait for the respawn as it’s less frustrating.

you forgot to mention they also have 20+ points in discipline..which is toughness/healing..so major investment was made with defense. Please don’t casually try to understate “They make no investment in…” when in fact they have made a major investment. You sir, do not have the slightest idea of what “defense” is. You need to level some other professions, because if they invest in that pow/prec/crit, instead of “defense”, then you still have more defense then any profession beyond guardian. As well as more damage. Not to mention the way you guys can use weapons skills intended for gap closers for mobility and escape. They really need to make all of those movement skills not intended for map traversing mobility, usable with an in range target only.

I play mesmer, warrior and ranger – warrior is the least powerful of the 3. What a bunch of stupid whiners.

You heard it here first from this guy folks.

Ranger: stronger than warrior.

You, WWW, hot joins – are not good sources.

Says WvW not a good source. Talks about himself in WvW. What sources are good and where are your credentials? Screenshot for me earthshaker hitting for your full health. Say a warrior has 100 tick bleeds. He would need 90 stacks for 9k condition damage. Both of these are both not possible but also not even close in the same build as they do completely different types of damage. Since when does going invisible render you unable to do anything? I find the misconceptions in this post funny

“They are very tough. They have high damage. They are easy to play. What the point to have other classes?”
why play other classes?
to challenge oneself.
to try out light armor or medium armor styles.
personal preferences.
role playing.
etc

“Don’t forget self heal like crazy*”
not really. 400+ health per second can be easily negated with conditions such as bleeding, poison, burning.

“Having more mobility than a thief with no drawbacks.”
thief have stealth.
what do you mean more mobility than a thief with no drawbacks?

When a warrior is threatened by having his god mode challenged.

Said warrior goes into defensive mode. Using block whilst healing with out hindrance.

If he still needs to heal up more. He can use swiftness and mobility skills to out run the enemy (yes even out run thieves). Forcing them to either chase or give up chasing.

Chasing a warrior proves fruitless as the warrior simply resets the fight and is again fighting you at full power.

Thus the only option is to not fight a warrior. Or be one.

Not all Warrior builds are as mobile as you think. No offense, but my builds are rather lacking in mobility, and a thief would be able to pursue my Willa forever if he/she so wishes (at least one equipped to do so.)

(Ironically, many complain of certain Thief builds in which they can achieve exactly what you claim “all Warriors” can do-reset the battle forever.)

People forget that a Warrior CAN’T REALLY do all these things that people complain about in one build, and basically lump together all builds AND gear sets into the Warrior Profession when complaining, as if a Warrior could do Berserker’s maximum damage, maximum CC, have superb mobility, tank forever, have unlimited blocks, unlimited stunbreaks, have maximum regeneration, maximum condition duration reduction, etc. in ONE build. False-Warriors are great, but not “godly” at all.

Play a Warrior, and you’ll see how mortal they are-and the same applies to those players that complain that Thief Stealth is OP, etc. No Profession is OP, just that many of the less used ones need help (good, logical buffs) to be more attractive to players (including PvE-wise).
