Tombs make pve boring. i just do spvp and i have like 240 tombs. spvp already give title. i want to do pve, but i already lv 80…world boss is boring and timed. mobs too easy at level 80..there is no content!!

Disagree – doing tombs runs in GW1 was a lot of PvE fun. I could have written a tome about all the fun I had in the tombs.

Delete the tomes, if you don’t want to use them. Create a fresh character, and level it the normal way, if you want. Try out the HoT maps and the new LS maps; they’re more difficult than the Central Tyria maps, for sure.

If you use a tome of knowledge on a level 80 you’ll get a Spirit Shard, useable for buying items for the Mystic Forge to make a bit of gold.

How about NO? You’re the one choosing to use the tombs. Don’t take our choice away! Now, there’s plenty to do, go find something.

Removing Tomes of Knowledge from the game won’t do anything to address your stated concerns.

• They would be replaced by something equally boring.
• Changes to PvP rewards are not going to change the content in PvE.

So perhaps instead of just complaining, you could offer a suggestion or two:

• What (reasonable) rewards would you like to see in PvP?
• What would make PvE content more interesting for you?

Leave the tombs of knowledge alone, the Priory needs to study those.

As for the tomes of knowledge, if you don’t want to use them, delete the ones you get. But don’t try taking away the option to use them from the rest of us.

I hope you do the full story for the full 3 keys and if you have HOT do that too for an extra key. HOT story is pretty fast to do so don’t overlook it.

No because earning 8 tomes a week on average is easy and there is no way I can level a character to 60 every week to get the level 40 and 60 personal story. I’m happy with one key a week.

I’d keep them for when we get the Mausoleum of Knowledge in the near future.

I’d like to see them used for currency or something. Like, 2 tomes = random T6 or ascended material. Or maybe have it where we can merge them into scrolls of knowledge (10 tomes = 1 lvl 10 scroll, 20 tomes = 1 lvl 20 scroll, etc). Or better yet..both options!

How about one tome equals one spirit shard? Tomes can be converted into that currency and used at the mystic forge.

You don’t HAVE to use them. I actually find it quite convenient, especially if you’ve leveled so many characters to 80 that’s it’s just a bore when all you want to do is move onto the level 80 sections. You can also use them for Spirit Shards.

Only thing I wish regarding tomes would be a “use X amount” so when converting to spirit shards it could save a bit of wear and tear on the hands. I like having tomes and I use them for key farms and the like but when they start to clog up the inventory it would be nice to be able to use 10, 25, 50, etc at a time, some number other than 1 with a confirmation.

“Tombs” Plural. Poor Knowledge must of been heavily dismembered and buried in multiple tombs.

Use them
You get 6 Boosters (hard to get now since there are no more in Chests), Exotics you can throw in mystic forge and Mats worth gold. Then delete Char and repeat.

I personally would like to see Tomes of knowledge be used at a vendor to unlock a random tyrian skill point like the vendor in eternal battlegrounds does. At least that way even if you are max level it could still be useful for something.

There are no tombs of knowledge so you can delete this entire thread
