Hi,

I bought the game yesterday and was able to finish the download today. But after reading the forums I’ve seen some alarming posts about people who have deleted their first character and lost some irreplaceable items.
Is this true? If I don’t like my first character and delete immediately will I lose some items I can’t get back? If I cancel in CC will I also lose the items?

I’d really like an answer to this soon as I would like to start creating my first characters but like to know there’s no unforeseen consequences if I just create and delete at infinitum.
(I already know about the 24 hour name reservation which is cool)

I assume that if the items in questions are soulbound to your first characters then chances are that yes….you will lose these unique items.

Best advice for you ? Do no delete….evar :p

I’ve deleted plenty of characters in the last few months and remade new ones. I have had no problems with losing items. As with any other game, you will lose all the items you are wearing or have in your bags at the time you delete them. So I suggest stripping down and selling everything you can and put the money in the bank (as its account-wide)

In terms of unique items, if you bought the deluxe edition you will lose the Hero’s Band and Golem Bank for that character, but when you make a new one you will have mail which will give you another for the new one you make.

I had seem some posts about people losing unique items they got when they bought the Deluxe Editions then deleted the first character they had which was holding the items. So I guess that problem is fixed now?

The only time you will have unique items at the very beginning after you create them is if you bought the deluxe edition. But you will get new ones with your newly created one.

really? I just read somewhere else that people thought they would get the items again in another mail on the new character but didn’t. But these posts were back in August. Is that a non issue now?

The only thing I lost was my mage hat town outfit, but I was able to buy it back for 0 gems so there’s no worry.

You don’t get the DE items back, specifically the mini and the consumables, all you get is the banker.

Whatever your character is holding in its bags — when it’s deleted, all its gear is deleted, too.

If you want to save it, put it in the bank first, including all its coins.
