There’s a good bunch of achievements (especially lately) that deal with the collection of a set of items, which, of course, take up a ton of backpack space. I’m thinking about the Cin collection or the hidden letters one, but there’s a bunch of other, unique items, that become useless (or so we think!) after finishing the collection. Sometimes the items turn into a finished item (which then you discard because that one thing is still taking some space — looking at you, Bloodstone Fen books (well, okay, they mostly turn into the finished item, but that’s another issue entirely)), sometimes nothing happens and all you can do is destroy them one by one.

I don’t really like to destroy unique items, but they take up an awful lot of space. They’re things I’ve collected, spent various amounts of effort on acquiring them. They are part of my character’s or my account’s history.

Can’t we get a bookshelf for the books we’ve collected, into our home instance? Or a chest of strange loot that is read-only box of things (i.e. not usable as actual storage, like the bank is) that holds onto our story mementos?

I think it would be cool, anyway!

+10000 for the bookshelf idea. I love collecting these lorebooks in game, but its getting impractical to carry them around on my characters.

I also would like as a more general QoL update, any item that exists solely to fill out a collection should be auto consumed when you pick it up. That way, if it does stick around in your inventory you would know it has another purpose.

A library is something many of us have wanted for awhile. I have so many of these items taking up space.

I wholeheartedly agree, items with no other purpose than to be added to a collection are auto-added, why not also auto-consumed? What’s the reason for clogging up inventory with these things? Some people are confused by them wondering if they should be holding on to them- I mean why put something in their inventory if wasn’t meant to be held?

I still can’t make myself just destroy that stupid dwarf’s thumb (they’re an extinct-ish race!), and he won’t just take it back off me!

Why doesn’t he want his own thumb back? Where does he think I’ve been putting it??`

In short, I fully support a memento storage place.
