I completed the Monthly last night at the same time I finally beat that evil gauntlet.
I did NOT receive Karma jugs, Laurels, or any other form of reward.

Honestly trying to stay calm but really…WTF.

Dude if you get angry over something like this you need to reassess why you play a game.

Nope. Finished it last night. Still nothing this morning.
I’m just gonna sit back and be patient with it. I’ll get 5/4 done soon enough so I’ll see if it re-updates then.

Also, you’re right, I should not be excited to get rewards at all. Man I feel so much better now. In fact, that was such a burden I let go of now I feel like walking into work and telling my boss he doesn’t have to pay me this month. I don’t need a reward or compensation for my work anyways. I felt his statement was a bit harsh, but having seen your reaction and you comparing rewards in the game to getting paid at work, I think he is right. You need definitely need to take the game less seriously.

If I was you I would submit a support ticket as well as put a post about it in the bug forum. Those are the two ways you are most likely to get the rewards you should have gotten.

His statement implied that I should be playing the game for having fun, not for rewards and if I was looking for rewards I should really question what I was doing. In the same way if you work for money and not enjoying what you’re doing you should really question what you are doing. His statement was none other than a completely ignorant comment with no purpose other than to show, what he believes, are his own superior ideals.

That was what I was trying to point out to him in an equally harsh tone. I already stated what I planed on doing in the mean time and I thank you for the advice you decided to actually contribute instead of trying to only insult someone.

Your tone implies you are angry at Anet, almost as if they intentionally juked you out. What most likely happened was:
a.) it was a bug, which is a honest mistake and not intentional
b.) human error and you actually did get a chest but mistook it for a daily/meta chest

If this is a bug, then it’s certainly a rare one bcause I rarely see it here. And even if it is a bug, you need to understand that stuff like this happens in games. Go contact CS and see if they can look at the logs and possibly reward you some.

If they deny you from getting you rewards? Then sure, get mad as kitten! I’d be there with you.

But getting mad beforehand really serves you no purpose and just perpetuates why individuals employed in CS hate their jobs.

For constructive ideas on the subject looking for a solution instead of having to submit a bug report if it turned out it wasn’t an actual bug and something silly just happened.

My tone implied anger which in no way implies a direction for said anger. You assumed a target for that anger yourself and decided to make a post telling me how we should all be ideally doing things in our life. In addition to that, did not actually address anything in the original post.
