Did they recently add the drunk affect?
AFAIK it’s been there since launch.
I haven’t experienced the drunk effect in a long time and I’ve been chugging that brew from the monastery in Queensdale for the drink achievement.
Spend 100k karma and haven’t had the drunk effect happen through the clicking of all that brew.
AFAIK it’s been there since launch.
Cannot be, because early on I distinctly remember being disappointed that it didn’t have it.
All’s well I suppose, now that it’s in. I’m just kinda wierded out because I do not remember it being mentioned anywhere at all.

I remember being drunk a very long time ago. Is it possible the specific stuff you drank at that time was bugged?
i don’t remember ever getting drunk from the brew at the monastery but from everything else i think it has been in since launch- at least for anything made by norns.
Yep, I’m talking about getting drunk from alcohol purchased with gold, or karma.
Before my guild changed server, we made an event to waste all of the upgrades that we built. One of those was the 1000 points – Guild Banquet, which sets in the ground a table and a keg of ale!
We Drank until everyone got 25 stacks then we made a race. it’s really hilarious how drunk ppl run and fall all the time, so, i know for sure it was available since then! (Mid November), and maybe since start!
/Cheers
I’ve seen it work sometimes and sometimes no … it might be that some drinks will get you drunk fast and others not so much – just like in real life. I don’t know for sure, though.
I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.
It’s been there since launch. However, I think much like the first game, if you have “Post-processing Effects” turned off, you won’t see it.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.
It’s been there since beta pretty much if I remember right. The thing is not all beverages give this effect when some do so you might have tried a beverage but it was the wrong kind. Also it might be to do with graphic settings as Mungrul said you’d have to test this.

I saw the drunk effect on the week of launch. It’s definitely been there the whole time.
Its been at launch, how much you have to drink to get it depends on what you are drinking. So when you tested it at launch you probably drank something weak, and you didnt get the effect from just one, and now you drank something strong that gave it to you right away.
Oh and with some settings (dont know which) in graphics the drunk effect will be off or on, so its tied to some setting there.(a friend of mine had to beef up his ingame graphics to get the effect)
I remember the drunk effect in the beta, but it could have been me and not the toon…
Blurred memories…

I definitely remember the feeling.
To answer your question OP, this has been in since launch, it’s just certain drinks that allow you to have the drunk affect. I know for a fact that the blood whiskey and other drink sold by the charr in LA by the bank give the effect.

Make sure your Post-Processing option in graphics settings is not off. It has to be low or high, or else you won’t see any drunk effects.
