Hi everyone.
Vincire, thanks for posting and bringing this to our attention. Naturally this is an important issue for the community and our team is aware of it. I will take note of the feedback you gave here and pass it to the team.
I will also proceed to lock the thread.
Thanks.

This was a response to a post about the possibility that ANet’s security might have been breached. Am I misunderstanding this or are ANet saying yes they have been breached and are aware of it?

If they have been breached they need to make it clear as some people store the CC details with their account for purchasing gems.

Please clarify what you meant with the above response ANet?

You’re misunderstanding.

The mod was saying that security is an important issue which they are well aware of, and that the feedback was being passed on. I have no doubt that if the forum poster put in a ticket with specifics, they would get to the bottom of his particular issue.

You are assuming I am misunderstanding. I am fully aware that I -may- be misunderstanding which is why I asked ANet to clarify (something you cannot do as you are not ANet).

As someone who works in Data Protection, this is a serious concern for me.

Hi everyone.

Maybe I did not express myself correctly.
We have received indeed feedback about security issues and the team is aware of those. The feedback of Vincire is going to be passed on as a part of that general concern.

Thanks for posting.
