Q:

Hi there,

I’ve been having some trouble figuring out why there are different counters for world completion and what they all count.

My thought is that the counter on the map itself counts all poi’s, vistas, etc. from all PvE and WvW areas.
First of all I would strongly recommend you take the WvW part out of this. I’ve been playing on the Far Shiverpeaks european server and still need the Aldon poi and green lowlands vista. However, as we’re matched up against Vizunah every time since I’ve first logged into WvW and we seem to be stuck at second place, we are never green. Being stuck at 99.8% is really frustrating as there is really nothing I can do to get the last poi and vista but wait.

Back to the original question though, there is a second counter. The one in the achievement tab (which seems to correspond to the one on the character selection screen). This one is always a few percents behind the one on the map. My best guess is that this counter takes into account the discovered areas, which are counted per region in the Krytan, Ascalonian, etc. explorer achievements.
Here is my second problem. I really love the system where you can get 100% map completion. However, the explorer achievements do not seem to follow this philosophy. In each of these achievements I am missing a few unexplored regions, f.e. Krytan Explorer 175/178. The problem I have here is that I have found absolutely no way of finding out where these areas might be, as there are no blurred out places on the map. I would like to have a way of at least finding out in which map I have to go look because just searching all over Kryta for 4 unexplored regions is just impossible.

I know this is a lot of questions but I would really love to hear some official statement about how these things work and how they are intended to be (Are you meant to have to wait for 2 months to get the last poi? Are you meant to run all over the world again in hope of finding that one unexplored region?)

Off course answers from non-AN employees are a welcome input as well.

Search, there’s about 500 threads on this bug.

In one, they said they are “looking into it”.

Regarding the WvWvW POIs etc., use the currently free server transfer facility to transfer your account to the server that currently holds what you’re after. That’s what I did, and it worked perfectly.

Please note that due to restrictions placed on my account, I am only allowed 1 post per hour.
Therefore I may take some time replying to you.

I would love to see an official statement about this as well.

I am also having this issue. 100% of hearts, POI, waypoints, etc but the achievements are lagging behind. I’ve searched every nook and cranny for the undiscovered areas and no luck.

Is there a link to the dev statement saying this is being looked into?
