How come the upgrade is never discounted? I check every time a sale is announced, but it’s always for new players only. When will they remember to include the virtual upgrade in all these promotions? I’ve asked a number of times on their Facebook advertisements but I’ve never gotten a reply, so…not sure what else to do :/

Why would you want the virtual upgrade anyway? You can get all the perks ingame without buying it anyway.

I have the Digital Deluxe. It’s $49.99, yes? Yep, good okay.

Buy it off the Trading post for 2000 gems, but wait, whoa, hey! That’s only a $25.00 gemcard.

One step further? Save up all the virtual money you need to convert to 2000 gems, buy the Digital Deluxe, boom, ya got it for free…

Avoiding the fact that the non-deluxe game was $60 when I got it…five dollars is a big difference, and do you have any idea how much gold it takes to buy 2000 gems these days? More than I’ve ever had, that’s for sure. Probably twice as much as the most I’ve ever had.

I don’t want to buy something so expensive at its current price if I know it does get discounted occasionally. (And knowing my luck, if I buy it now, it’ll be put on sale tomorrow. That has literally happened to me at least twice with GW2 items alone.)

The 2000 gem option is just the upgrade, not the full game. you have to have already bought the game to access it.

so it’s 42.99 vs 25.00+29.99 (based on current holiday sale prices)

It has gone on sale a couple of times. The lowest I have seen is 1600 gems.
