Diminishing Returns on direct damage
Confirmation? Is there even a rumour? Heard literally nothing about this.

I’d be willing to wager 5gold that there isn’t. For starters, how the kitten would it be implemented? “For every attack taken in x seconds, attacks taken in the next y seconds take z% less damage”? It just doesn’t work.
They don’t want to limit direct damage the way condition damage is limited, but instead want to find a means of letting condition damage be as unrestricted as direct damage.

Directly? No. Although on a point by point basis, there comes a point where investing into different stats gives you either more total damage or more total survivability.
But as for the damage in game, there is no limit. So run berserker and hit for 15k like the rest of us.
This exact reason is why all gear is balanced so close to each other in terms of stat contribution. There’s not really a limit, more than the fact that there’s an artificial one.
Wow I thought this was obvious, but to all above he is complaining about condition specs.
As I thought, I always believed that there were no such thing as direct damage DR, but I happened to have listened on a conversation that there was a direct damage DR. I simply asked here to confirm this.
