Is there a Dire Stats exotic back-piece? Gw2skills.net says there is but I cannot find one.

Currently withbthe removal of magic find it is possible to craft A Quiver Of A Thousand Arrows (i’m pretty sure it’s this skin.) which you can then select stats for. I believe its 250 vicious claws and 50 ectos, i think i paid around 60g for mine. I’m unsure whether anet are aware that it’s possible to do this and as such it may be patched sooner or later, i dont think there are any other ways to acquire a piece with Dire stats but i’m sure someone will correct me if i’m wrong. :-)

I have not checked the vendor – but possibly the karma vendor at Temple of Melandru – it used to be Wayfarer which was MF so it is possible the accessories were changed to Dire (as were the wayfarer random drops)

60g for a back piece is a bit ridiculous though

Nope, the Wayfarer accessories were just removed from the Melandru vendor.

I made “There with Yakkington, A Travelers Tale” which is the Magic Find Backpiece with a defensive infusion slot.

It let me choose my stats as well and I am pretty sure that Dire was an option as well, i certainly know that dire+apothecary is an option (4 stats instead of 3), so dire alone should be available also.

I however, went for Celestial stats.

Edit: The list of stats to choose from was quite short compared to the ones that i can choose from on my legendary weapon.
It might be that you can only choose the stats which arent available from other recipes. So this wont be a cheap way to make one with zerker stats for example.
