I have both the Copper- and Silver-Fed salvage bots, but I find myself almost always using the Copper-fed one, mostly because using the Silver-fed one (or any Master/Mystic kit) floods my inventory with runes/sigils. I would love to have an option, on right-click, to enable/disable the functionality to recovery runes/sigils from salvaged equipment. Each kit would be enabled by default (maybe there could be a gameplay option to make it so that the default can be set, but it could also be strategic not to, and complicated to do so), and you could right-click it to disable the functionality (it would be the second option, below Use). Whenever a kit has its rune/sigil recovery disabled, it would gain an overlay with an X’ed out sigil icon (like is done with damaged/broken equipment), so that users know just by glancing if the kit they are using will do what they want or not; if it’s not what they want, they just right click and swap the option to get it to what they want.

This could be a functionality exclusive to Black Lion salvage kits (copper-fed, silver-fed, and exotic ones), to encourage people to buy them, but I would really just prefer it work for all of them, but I can understand the desire not to, from an appeal standpoint.

Also, I know that silver-fed kit is not the best deal, dont harass me about it. I also know that not every item should be used with a higher tier kit, but at level 80, yes, it should. And also, I know that they use rune/sigil drops as an inventory filler to encourage people to buy merchant summon items, but this is just a huge pain, much worse than junk items, so I beg that they consider this. (And wow, the title length is super restrictive.)

did someone do math on this? do you know the price breakpoint for t6 common mats where rare salvages are the same value as white salvages? i would guess that only leather has even a remote possibility of being worth it atm, but i havent looked into it myself.

Pls don’t do this. Those green and yellow runes/sigils are very important to the game economy. I make dozens of copper every day selling them to a vendor.

I suppose I don’t know exactly. And also, I guess I really was talking about rare items, since you get a better chance at ectos, which make up for any small lost profits, as well as the t6 base mats. And I do actually only really use the master tier on rare+ items, for the most part. I wrote that without thinking a ton about my routine. But nonetheless, I still want the feature I asked for. I see no real downside to it.

No need to be sarcastic, people can misinterpret it (not sure how, but really). And it’s just an option, so people can turn it on or off if they really want the rune/sigils (for mystic forging or getting a high-value one or whatever).
