Quick question is there a way to disable the right side quest tracking stuff? Like daily, wintersday, living season, etc

There are SO many right now its cluttering my screen even minimized.

Ideally I’d only like events I’m working on to display

minimizing it, the living story one seems to be bugged, if you try to quit an episode to make the quest marker go away it just reappears. There is also an option to turn off the content guide if that helps you. If its off, events will still show, it just wont point you to stuff.

I say what needs to be said, get used to it.

Yeah I kept trying to quit but it keeps popping back up.

I have content guide off but it still shows everything

yea the living story one is bugged, the current wintersday/wvw sneak attack markers can be minimized but not removed. The content guide just removes that arrow that points you to stuff

I know the frustration its annoying, especially in wvw where you need that field of view more then anywhere

You can’t get rid of it completely.

You can turn off the content guide (the arrow pointing you to stuff) in the options menu, which may or may not help (your personal story, events etc. will still show up, but when none of that is up it won’t keep pointing you to other areas.)

You can get the achievements list to disappear by completing the daily meta achievement (but only until the next reset) or restrict it to one achievement by adding one to your watch list.

The announcements about festivals and things (like the Wintersday and Competitive Events ones) you can’t remove, they’re up permanently for the entire time that release/event is running. Same with hearts and dynamic events, if you’re in range and they’re active they’ll appear.

What I’d really like to see is for all this to be displayed on a tab on the Hero panel and only the parts we select to show up on screen, like non-daily achievements do now. Obviously new things would default to showing up on screen so they don’t get missed, but once they’re hidden they should stay hidden until selected.

Never heard of that, if thats some kind of 3rd party software, highly recommend not to. Also suggested avoiding unknown websites.

The funny thing about it is as much as I find having the full list on screen all the time annoying when I’ve been playing GW2 for a while I find myself wishing other games had something similar.

For example I’ve recently been re-playing Dragon Age: Origins and I find it really annoying to have to keep opening up my journal and going through every quest I’m currently doing to see which ones relate to the area I’m going to. I keep wishing I could add the relevant ones to an on-screen list, like you can with achievements in GW2, so I can easily keep track of them. (As it is I’ve settled for writing check lists on a piece of paper to keep in front of me.)

I guess in either case what I really want is customisation, rather than one extreme or the other.
