Yeah i know this comes late but im a casual gamer.

Ive had 1200 Ascended Shardss of Glory from last pvp season and i actually intended to turn them in for a set of pvp ascended gear as soon as i need one, but now you changed the cost and now i am very kittened because of the additional 517gold wich is worth around 2500 juwels!!

I feel unfair penelized for not turning them in compared with everyone else.
You cant pretend your a game that also casual games play when you put such a dastardly heavy change into the exam time!
I stronge appreciate the 1 week advanced notification but the timing was jsut Bull***.

You really should have solved that way smarter.. since the adcended shards are not limited anymore you could have changed it all towards the normal pvp shards. since there is no difference in obtaining them anyways anymore. (1 ascended worth 3,6 normal ones based on the repeatale chest) and just left the ascended shards alone, so the peoples who collected them before can trade them in later, as you have done it with pretty much every other festival currency etc etc.

to make it clear that the change was necessary is not my issue at all, but there was no reason to screw me over due to bad implementation.
Of course i dont expect anyone really cares so i highly doubt that my supprot ticket will solve this. But I fore once am fed up with MMO’s causing the same annoyance over and over and till now i had way better experience with Anet. But now ill just have to quit this game too. I wont wait for the next big disapointment.

Sounds like the Gift of Battle acquisition all over again. We were given notice but it wasn’t obvious. ANs communication over changes to the game are really lacking over the past few years considering when we finally find out something is happening, its already been done and we’re reading it on the patch notes. Good or bad. I don’t pvp so i don’t understand everything you are referring to but I can understand the situation since I was 3 days off of getting an achievement chest to buy another Gift of Battle before that change.

I apologize for going off-topic here, but I am curious (since I didn’t craft my first legendary weapon until after that change had already been implemented): How exactly was it before? Did you not have to grind a whole WvW track in order to get one of those?

You could just buy it for 500 badges of honor.

Didn’t you need to be a certain rank too? So while subsequent gifts were easy, you still hade to do some wvw first to rank up…

That is not very exact.

Original: Buy for 500 Badges of Honor but world completion requires doing all the WvW maps as well.

v2: WvW was removed from world completion and you only need 500 Badges of Honor

v3: Buying the badges requires having rank 50+ in WvW then a short while after it got reduced to rank 14.

v4: Current system with the reward track

In reality the only time where it would have been faster than the current approach is v2.

The reward track approach is actually much faster than the previous version if you are starting from WvW rank 0 and you are only making one or two legendary weapons.

I see. Thank you. I will start grinding said reward track for the third time soon, it usually takes me about six to eight hours of playing WvW. ^^

I mean what do the have to do throw in you face a npc that tells you"hey buy kitten set because we will change the prises"?
