Disappointed in the "new" Bloodstone Visage
Screen shot please. I wanna see =)
I disagree. I actually like it

Hmm…just now checked my character, as Sylvari, that uses the Bloodstone Visage, and it’s exactly the same. Still see the red glowing orbs through the back of the head, and the glowing orbs are there on the face, as well.
Maybe one must un-equip it and, re-equip it, but I voted to leave it as it was, so that’s just what I will do…leave it, as is.
I like to have option to not have red eyes but keep the aura effects.
Mine looks the same as before the update. Still has the glowing red eyes that show through the back of the head.
I actually liked the option that it was luminating the back of the head, please give us the option to have that back.

yes, this. its basically not there at all anymore. I dont really want to have to buy the gemstore one and lose the particle effect. i hope they fix it
Warning: High concentrations of salt-skip to tl;dr to avoid
So something interesting to note, I’ve been seeing posts saying how some people still see the old version of the skin (in all of it’s glory) while others here unfortunately have the new watered down “new” version of it.
Turns out the reason for the two conflicting accounts is due to the fact that the skin is heavily influenced by the shaders setting in the graphics option. So if you want the old version you need to set shaders to “low”. And if for some reason you want the “why-even-bother-wearing-it” new version for it, set shaders to “medium” or higher.
Of course the downside to this is that the game looks awful with low shaders.
Edit: Picture added to demonstrate difference.
TL;DR-Adjust the “shaders” under the graphics option to change how the skin looks.

Good luck getting arenanet to go back again and redo it when it took so long for them to fix the bug in the first place. Enjoy your new Bloodstone helm. It’s here to stay.

Not sure if op is using the same charr face as us, but if so it might be a problem with the face. Honestly it probably won’t be fixed if it is, as they still haven’t fixed the problem with our heavy t3 cultural helm. Here is a thread I made 2 years ago about that. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Buyer-beware-new-Charr-faces-hair-problems/first#post4247613
thats stupid. the red glow mask works just fine, on any shader level. guess ill have to redesign my entire kittening character since the bloodstone visage is useless. kudos.
