So im reading through the zam interview with anet, about the new patch, the first part is with southsun cove. Reading one specific part made me quite upset, ill quote.

Are other activities that had been announced such as Bar Brawl and Target Range in Divinity’s Reach being pushed back to be released with more closely themed Living Story content?

Scott McGough: We haven’t identified a Living World release for those two in particular, but we love activities around here, so if we don’t release these eventually it’ll be because other activities were a better fit.

Ok so why can’t they release activities like Bar Brawl or Target Range because they are fun. They don’t need to be relevant to a current or potential living story. I bet Anet already has most of that activity content completed as well. They should just put it in the game like keg brawl is already there and make it permanent, add some achievements for it, and maybe some rewards and that would be great. I think the playerbase wants more activities, and doesnt really care as much about how they are implemented with respect to the living story. Its also silly because they imply it could be temporary like crab toss. STOP with the temporary content. I like it but I wish a lot of it was permanent. It surprises me that the living story team would even have something to do with those two activities.

I can understand these mini-games not being ready at launch, but I don’t understand why they’re not ready now. Mini-games like these are enjoyed by casual and hardcore players alike, and will only serve to increase traffic in the main cities.

This just ties back to the problem of temp content. I suspect if this is anets mentality about a lot of game additions. Not just activities. Are they trying to implement everything through the living story? If so thats a problem, because thats a lot of content that will be halted.
