Hey ANet,

two days ago we received news from you in this thread regarding issues during the 3rd phase of the Karka event:

I am one of the players who go DCed at the end of the Ancient Karka event and didnt get my reward. The post says that the fix will not happen “today” but considering how many customers were dissatisfied thanks to this issue, I would guess fixing this is your highest priority right now.

Can we get some update on this? There are certainly some new things you can tell us regarding fixing this issue, some time frame, or what can we expect to receive as reward (Ancient Karka chest in LA that ppl who got DCed can loot and claim their rewards?).

This is not a flame post, so all those ppl wanting to say “get over yourself, lootkitten”, you can save it. I would just like to get some update on the matter and im sure as hell I’m not the only one.

Yes please, just an acknowledgement that the issue hasn’t been swept under the carpet and is still being looked into would be fantastic?

They’ll be back in the office today, They were out of the offices for the Thanksgiving holiday. TBH I’m not expecting anymore details on that until Wednesday at the earliest.

I just want to make sure that this remains on the top of the priorities list for ANet. Many many ppl were angry and still are. I just value my time for much more than that…I aint letting this one go.

Let it go. Anet can’t just simply give loots. You said you were there, is there prove, such as screenshot? People who wasn’t there can also said they were there too. imo, Anet will not be able to give loots to those who disconnected during the events. All they can do is a public apologize, nothing much they can do about it.

I came back to this game after 1 month absence and spent the entire weekend working on the chain, camped at the bugged NPCs, put up with the lagfest and the Ancient Karka event. ANet has logs displaying who participated in the event, who was in the zone doing the event and who was actively participating in the event. Im certain that there has to be a list of ppl that were there. There also has to be list of ppl who did claim their rewards and so the remaining ppl on the list didnt.

Not even talking about not being able to experience the ending to an event I worked the whole weekend for, but doing something in MMO without reward is waste of my time. And ANet better make sure that I didnt waste my time doing that event or it will be the last time I played their game. And I am quite positive that this is the kind of mindset everyone who participated and didnt get he chance to get the reward has.

So public apology is nice, but I dont care much about that. I want to get my reward and I want to know that they are making steps to make sure this situation doesnt happen again.

It will take time.
Keep in mind that they need to check every single account to see who where there and when they have found that out they will need to check those accounts again to see who did not open the chest.

It is quite a bit of work, give them time.

Something like “What are we doing to make sure that players disconnected during Ancient Karka event could claim their rewards”, to put our minds at ease…

because you missed out on some pixels?

on the AMA they (cris) have said there will be something coming up and they are looking into it. give it time please. in the meantime you can just enjoy the game. feels very strange to hear some people say: ooh i missed out on this so im so disapointed that i will not play the game anymore. (no i do not understand that type of behaviour)

People need to have patience. If a search on the forums was done then you would’ve saw that something will happen this week. You likely will not see anything until the end of the week.

Yeah and anger everyone who did the event but didn’t get one from the chest. All I see them doing is sending out a mail to those who participated, but didn’t get the chest, the 20 slot bag and possibly the accessory. They will not likely give people a shot at getting a precursor.

Nothing will happen from this. They are just pushing it along in hopes of people ignoring it once their Holiday event comes out. it’s pretty obvious that they aren’t going to act upon this or it would have already been done.

What about people like me who spent 2+ hours participating and suffering through the Ancient Karka event’s massive rubber-banding and lag, and didn’t get to loot the chest because I quit halfway through due to the game being truly unplayable? Will we get the compensation (yes, I read the other thread) or is it just for those who got disconnected right before the chest?

It would be nice if they would give us an update after two weeks of waiting, but I’ve had to stop expecting it at this point.

i mean everyone. even those who got some crap in the chest.

Me: “Sure was a long week at work, cant wait to get paid.. What? The system is down and they can’t deposit my check? ..and they’ll fix it in a few weeks or so??!”

But seriously though, when it happened I was pissed the F off. I’m over it now, but some communication on what was happening with fixing it would have been nice, and no I don’t follow every tweet/ama/FB post, so maybe put it on the LAUNCHER? and for the record, I’m not “not logging in” because I’m angry, it’s because I’m bored.
