After playing the new living story part with the self rezzing enemies, i would like to discuss if further ai improvement would make the fights more enjoyable?

Like we all know, aoe is the king of combat, cc is completly useless and every class which isnt dealing tons of aoe isnt much appretiated. How would the combat system change if enemies would run out of aoe and learn to dodge?

Personally, i would love to see much more dynamic fights instead of balling behind a edge to just spam all aoe´s. CC would finally become usefull and i think class balance would improve a lot. I know this sounds completly weird, but maybe we could even see some warriors that arent running greatsword? :-P
I think the outcry of the community would be huge in the first time, but in general GW would win a lot.

What do you think about it and are there any plans by anet to improve the ai?

In Beta, the enemies used to move out of and avoid AoE (as in, they’d skirt around it, not run right through it). Not sure what happened.

it should detect, ele aoe move, guardian symbol of swiftness aoe – stand in it. . definatly think 1200 range spells need a nerf

In Beta, the enemies used to move out of and avoid AoE (as in, they’d skirt around it, not run right through it). Not sure what happened.

it broked some classes,

now if they could add these mechanics not to every mob, but to hard/group content then yes!

They called us TEMPESTs, but we can use our elite to cheat death instead

If this was implemented, it would eliminate staff elementalists and necromancers from PvE without a redesign of their skills.

The counter to 1200 range are:

1- Reflect projectiles
2- Ranged attackers – the fast ones are hard to dodge once they start attacking faster than your stamina is recovered.
3- Anet works with the twisted logic that ranged = weaker not only in term of armor, but also damage.

most thing i hate is when they get invunerable due some high on the map or distance from their spawn but still atack you.

worse concept ever in a game.

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.
