I just thought it would be nice to get some new traits and skills to get the old’ character progression and build diversity going.

Why don’t we make some up?

Try to put them in this format:

Trait/Skill: <Insert Name>
Class/Trait Line/Tier/Major or minor/Utility or weapon or elite
Description
Tooltip if nessecary

Trait: Incineration
Elementalist/Fire/Grandmaster/Major

Description: when you inflict burning on an already buring target, also inflict direct damage.
Tooltip: inflict damage with coefficient 0.3 (0.2 in PvP).

Skill: Arcane Signet
Elementalist/Utility

Passive: increase your Power by up to 180
Active: recharge all attunements (40 sec CD)

Trait: Fortified
Elementalist/Earth/Master/Major

Description: When HP drops below threshold your toughness is increased according to your level.
Tooltip:
Threshold: 33%
Attribute Increase: (4 * Level)

Trait: Scorching Leap
Elementalist/Fire/Master/Major

Description: Whenever you dodge through enemies, you apply burning and bleeding to them.
Tooltip:
Maximum Targets: 5
Burning: 3s
Bleeding(x3): 10s
Additional: They could implement a fiery effect (but not like Fire Shield), like making the ele a burning ball burning in flames during dodge.

Trait: Melting Specialty
Elementalist/Water/Master/Major

Description: Whenever you strike chilled foes you and allies gain regeneration, and enemies are weakened.
Tooltip:
Maximum Targets: 5
Regeneration: 5s
Weakness: 10s

I’ll post more when I come up with ideas, these could be tweaked and give fresh cool choices.

I’m guessing by frozen you mean Chilled? Cos there’s only 1 skill in the game that freezes lol

The problem with the second trait I think is that with it you can quite easily end up applying permanent weakness even on bosses, which is otherwise only something you can do by giving up a lot of DPS.

I know! I exaggerated because it felt good haha, but I’d lower that to 5sec (since instances of weakness add up to duration, and others could apply several 1sec weakness instances for example).

It would make it useless, it’s already dependant on chilled… what could be done is to lower weakness/regeneration durations though.

See, I like new metas based on strict conditions. This one would put Signet of Water into play, as well as Frozen Ground and Frost Aura, or some sigils.
