Do the Black Lion weapon sets that are available rotate periodically so that old ones are on sale again? I know the Dragon’s Jade and Crimson Lion sets have come back, but they were tied to specific releases.

Specifically I’ve decided I want the Chaos Sword, and I’m wondering if it would be better to buy it ASAP (if the price is going to keep going up) or save gold and wait for it to be available for tokens again, which will likely cause the price to drop, or try to obtain tokens and wait for it to come back so I can buy it myself.

Short answer: no.

Longer answer: no, but… some skins return regularly and others return irregularly, while the majority haven’t returned.

• Any skin set that fits a seasonal will return with the relevant content, e.g. Halloween skins in October, Wintersday skins in December, Lovestrucks for February.
• Similarly festival-related skins return with the relevant festival, including Jade Dragon & Crimson Lion for Canthan New Years or various dragon-y type things.
• The vast majority of skins have not returned, notably Chaos, Zodiac, & Tormented (or at least, those are the ones I want to see again).

Chaos was available in the last year, and Tormented, too. I’d love to see the Pact and Tempest sets make a return, myself. And Zodiac.

That said, there’s no real rhyme or reason to the return of some sets. Chances are the prices will drop at some point, but if you want it badly enough, it may not be worth waiting.

Chaos and Tormented returned for a bit which surprised me. Really just depends on what Anet decides, it’s tough to really say.
On the other hand, the Wintersday (the fancier set) set didn’t return this past winter.

I’d never spend 5 tickets on a single skin, but you’re right. They’re still available.

Chaos and Tormented weapons did make a return at one point. I’m not sure if I’d expect them to come back again, but do not rule out the possibility that they someday may.

There’s no set rotation for them, no. Its just whenever Anet feels like bringing a skin back. The only ties to anything seems to be that the weapon sets that return sometimes have something to do with the current LS, but even that’s not really a hard and fast rule or anything.

Personally, the one set I’m eagerly awaiting a return of is the Zodiac set. My Necromancer uses a celestial / sky theme for his weapons and the Zodiac GS would be perfect for that. No way I’m paying the current prices, though.
