Do Frostbitten tools give foxfire clusters?
they do, foxfire clusters only come from trees that produce elder/ancient wood, also I have noticed the droprate for foxfires seems to have decreased, it just seems like I used to get a lot more, now I barely get more then 1 a day if that.

I’ve been using the frostbitten tools since Christmas, and I’ve only gotten 2 of them, so the drop rate doesn’t really impress me much. lol
I notice when I am on a toon with an infinite gathering axe the droprate seems to be higher, so the snowflakes might be interfering with the foxfire droprate

Naw, I get foxfire and flakes at the same time. The drop rate for foxfire is really low and it’s pretty high for flakes, so it will seem that you get too much of the second and not enough of the first.
I’ve been using frosty tools exclusively in southsun and my foxfire/week remains consistent.
Yes you do, same with the watchwork pick, you still get all the other goodies (as well as the sprockets).
Yes, just as many as with orichalcum. I’ve gotten more than I can count. I purposely dropped all my winter clothing on the random frostbitten boxes so that I could stop paying 4 silver apiece for the tools. Now they’re all I use on a couple of characters. Still raking in the foxfire.
Pagga’s Waypoint and Waywarde Way both have nearby clusters of trees that spawn every day. I recommend visiting those every few hours or so. I’ve gotten up to five clusters at a time from them. More often than not, though, I get one or two. On rare occasions I’ve come up empty. They’re very popular foxfire cluster farming spots, so you’ll frequently find surveying banners near them as an added bonus.

The respawn is much shorter than 1 day. A friend said 1 hour but I haven’t really timed it.
Edit: Went and checked just now. It is 1 hour.

a farming round in malchor (not just the cluster) gives between 0-5 foxfires, mostly 1 or 2 (with gathering bonus). test it out, if you get multiple times 0 in a row there might be something wrong
kittens nodes that are not rich nodes generally respawn in around an hour

Thanks, all. I’m on my 4th frosty logging axe (on Ancient/Elder trees only) and not found even one foxfire so was starting to wonder! Must be starting to bring the odds into my favour again by now, though.
I get like 2-5 foxfire every run up and down the green coast of Straights of Devistation then running across Malchor’s Leap and then finally going through Cursed Shore. I’m mostly selling it now as I don’t need it. I’m only after corriander and truffles.
