Long story short a day before the lost shores patch I was “permanently” banned for botting, macros etc and by the time the support reviewed my case and lifted the ban it was already a bit too late so I missed the entire event.

I was farming like a zombie the sparks in malchor’s, steel tides, and the claw of jormag event to get enough money for my legendary/precursor and now I missed the chance because of a mistake made by arena net, should I try to ticket the support since I see that they will give rewards to those that disconnected in the last phase?

I disconnected during the last part of the event, spend 2 hours raging while being unable to connect/trolled in character select.

While i like the fact that Anet is trying to find a solution i seriously doubt that there will be one, simply becouse it’ll be very difficult for Anet to go look up all the accounts log in info.

I’d much rather see them use their recources into developing the game further

There is a difference if you actually participated in the event and if you didnt.

If you did participate in the event and got disconnected at the final stage, login servers were offline and you couldnt log back in to claim your reward, then yes.

But if you didnt even participate and just werent online, for whatever reason, you are not eligible for the event chest reward.

There is also a difference of not being able to participate because of whatever reason and being banned because of a broken anti bot system I wouldn’t complain if I wasn’t able to participate because of rl, internet issues or whatever but the thing is this is 100% arena nets fault.

No, you should not qualify. You were not there, regardless of the reason.

Anet will not respond to this type of inquiry on the boards. You should know better than that. You’ll have to go through official (read: proper) channels in order to get your answer. No one here can do that for you.

I was unable to attend due to the timing of the event (9am Monday Morning for me ) should i get a chest too.

i understand you were bannned for botting which has since been over ruled, And understand your frusration.

Unfortunaly it is the nature of the one time only event system people miss out for lots of resones. please just except that this is what happens i have now and am back to grinding for my legendary.

Well there is this one thing called reporting, If a number of players suspect you where botting they are gonna report you. I report every single bot when I know for a fact they are botting.
Some give aways are names like: gfdgf, etc = an autoreport on my part. Obvious bots are Obvious.

Also if you are running the same exact path’s of other “Bots/players” and end up stacking in the same spot when not moving or attacking at the same time = botting

Rangers with bears as pets deserve a second look, because Most bots use Ranger/Bear combos. So maybe players suspect you botting so they reported you, and if you where you Deserve NOTHING AT ALL but an IP band.

The whole time I was in a group with 4 other players doing the same thing in that zone and you now accuse me of botting and say I don’t deserve anything at all? Trial accounts and others on alts got 2+ precursors from the chest while most likely doing little to no effort yet those who actually farm for gold don’t even deserve the the chance at them?

The one and only reason I can think of getting reported is because I and others farming the sparks in malchors refused to do the lyssa event and PvE heroes got mad because they didn’t get their chest with blue loot.

So much for arena net saying every case is carefully reviewed yeah right it’s guily until proven innocent and by the time they do it it’s too late.

You do realize that you’re complaining about a virtual reward that will neither be an advantage to you nor of an significance in your life come 3+ years from now. Right?

Again, the boards are not the right place for this sort of issue. You’ll need to contact Anet directly if you actually expect any sort of resolution to your perceived injustice.
