SO back to the topic. The mobs during SW fort events don’t have loot so I would also like to know whether or not they can drop them. I’m well aware of bonus chests so what about enemies?

Hard to be certain due to the precursor-level droprate, but so far every reported SW drop was from either event reward or Vinewrath chest.

Could have made better use of those words. The issue is that under normal circumstances the event mobs in Silverwastes will not drop any sort of loot. Will those have a chance of dropping a key or is the chance only in the event reward popup?

all events is refering to chests for doing events, but no info about mobs spawning during those events( as u know they deleted any drop from massive event mobs since 2014). So here is my question Still w8ing for answer…

im not even going to mess with SW. All the monsters in DT drop loot, so there will be no issue for me. The only way you’ll actually get an answer is if someone gets something from an event monster and comes here to post that.

I just did a full round of SW, starting after the new build. No one linked finding a portal in chat.

You people really belive they made the drop rate anything higher than 1% are out of your mind

1% would be pretty high considering the number of mobs you would be killing. For example escorting the red pack bull is around 10 kills per escort.

On the other hand I assume they actually want people to get in so this wouldn’t be subject to the usual economy impacting type of restrictions.

Given they’re running the event for at least a week to get a decently sized beta participation and given ANet’s definition of rarity, it’s safe to say the drop rates are incredibly small

I’ve seen people sure it’s for two days or it’s for today only, and you’re the first that’s said a week. I understand why you would assume that, as builds with new BL weapons do tend to go for weeks, but I’d love to see any official ANet comment from whatever source (forums, news page blogs, Twitter/Facebook) that has said we have a week to try for the portal.

Doesn’t really get much more official than that.

Reddit people have reported getting them in SW from the event reward chest that appears on the bottom right hand part of you screen, as well as a Husk Slinger near the middle lane during VW event.

Did I say specifically it is 1%? Might be surprising but there are numbers lower than 1%. Mind boggling I know right?

Well, it seems to be WAY lower than 1%. By several orders of magnitude. 3 hours of farming on both SW and DT, and i have yet to see a person that saw/heard of anyone getting this drop. This is precursor level indeed.

Been playing SW since patch (shhh, don’t tell my boss), no drops have been seen as yet.

I don’t believe I missed that. Normally I read every word of those things. I’ll blame the excitement of wanting to get right back in game to start the farm.

It’s good to know this’ll go a bit, now I can take time for RP and such. Also good to know the keys are dropping and in SW, yet, because I really enjoy SW much more than Dry Top.
