This is actually what the patch forces the ppl to do that wanna progress in fractal.. at a level where they can’t go on because of maw.. they need to find a instance owner that already is higher that opens em up on another level.. for example:

You wanna do lvl 50 .. another one opens lvl 51 so you complete 51.
due to the new system you will get +1 scale ( because the lvl of the instance was higher than your lvl) So you can do 51 now again and get to 52 after this you can ask one to open 53.. ect…

Is this intended?

I’ve considered doing it this way, but it would suck never getting the maw daily chest (the whole reason I want to progress in the first place).

Dont know about 50+ but maw is the easiest part of fractals right?

Iv never seen anyone wipe or find maw hard??? If we are talking about agony, isnt agony still a problem in the normal part of 50+

I would preffer maw on every level, daily chest no matter even or odd

Maw just kills you without AR-gear, thats what the new patch brought and many are complaining about.
The problem might be to find someone like you, Patrikan. There are only few who did it up to 80 in time. And i guess ANet will soon keep patching it. FotM was never finished, no cap at launch, and terrible cap right now. Maybe they’ll figure out something like agony when entering FotM to force you to grind for gear…

Who cares about fractals anymore?
Besides the backpiece, the real worthwhile jewels are the laurel utility ones.
Just wait until we get the rest of the laurels through permanent achievements update.

If I want a dynamic challenge, I’ll go play single player games, or multiplayer FPS.

we’ll I just afraid that geartradmill start I wasn’t afraid when I started fractals because you were able to do it without any agony rez ( yeah at maw you needed ranger or 99% rez or rez orbs) but you could have done fractals scale 80 basicaly naked.. as it seems your now forced to buy amulettes on top of that you need the infusion to get 20% less agony duration. So you are forced to do dailies to progress in the game..

Basicaly I don’t have to care because I’m on 80 already since a month I am asking in another post if 80 is the cap ( you can go higher than 80 but you can open up 80 only )

They posted it’s a neverending Dungeon it obviously isn’t.. they told there is no gear trademill and it wasn’t till this update.

I’m concerned about the direction the game goes no about me beeing able to complete anything. Just not fair that other ppl are forced to do dailies in order to get higher in fractals.

I don’t know why it’s so hard for a dev to comment on this changes .. I’d be happy if they said you guys were not intended to go to 80 but it happened 80 is the cap … I would never ever post on this concern again but since a month they seem to not be able to answer this officially.

because he’s not killable an higher scale it’s not killable on higher scales! that’s why I talked of 50 not about 10 …

It is killable. People do 80 already! How? Just a couple of tricks with resurects. I can’t explain it, my english is not good enough for it. But you can find solutions in internet.

I was in the first group that did 80 about a month ago! Yeah rez orb worked to get up. 99% rez and ranger pet. all doesn’t work anymore pls don’t argue with me I’m way more experienced in this matter than you are. They changed it with the patch no group can reach higher fractals without ppl like me that already have scale 80
