Or do they follow another timer?

All i know is that they reset the same time as daily, if im not mistaken.

Jumping puzzles reset at the same time as dailies, however, there seems to be a bug affecting the reward chests.
I did Chaos cavern last night (haven’t done it in ages) & the chest was open, so no reward. People in my Guild have noticed the same with other chests in various puzzles.
