Guild Wars 2

I was doing a dungeon with a group a few minutees ago and people started compaining about the lag. One person then pointed out that we were playing on the Boris Pass server so that is why people are lagging. One person even quit the run saying “I’m not going to try to do this on a laggy server”, blaming Boris Pass.

I did ask them if there was any info on this, and they said they were further away from the BP server. I pointed out that it was located in the spot which just resulted in them thinking I was being defensive about my server.

As far as I am aware, all of the NA servers all located in the same area in the states. Is there any truth to this lag theory people had or was it just something they made up as they had nothing else they could blame. Please let me know, as this info may affect what server I play on. I could use a little less lag, but I think this was just one of those random pug moments.
