Mesmer is unfun to play against and does everything better than thieves.
Hoping those two get gutted with nerfs
Sometimes when I want to click my t ability I click r and vice versa. Same with my 5 ability. Do you guys get used to it or does it happen even when you’ve played this game for a long time
I’ll tell you what I DO missclick, those anger inducing itty bitty switch skill buttons.
All clickers s*cks in 1v1. They are to slow, dont know what to do, have no map awareness at all. Dont be the clicker man :o
I’m talking about pressing the buttons on the keyboard
If you are always clicking the wrong button, my advise would b to remap your keys.
I use a G600 so it is a lot easier for me, but if I didn’t I would try to rebind all my skills so they are easy to reach, preferably near/around my movement keys.
I sometimes thickfinger 4 instead of only 5 on my stafff ele…. which can be fatal in quite a few scenario’s, comparable with the jumps on short and longbow of ranger or sword 2 or GS 3 or 5 on warrior, or gs 3 on guard…
I have had it happen to me a few times in my 6000 hours of playing.. And I do sometimes use mouse to click skills as it will PBAOE target stuff with the target on mouse directy, which can be usefull on staff aoe’s or other aoe’s on many characters
I misspress my keybinds for utilities and randomly waste CDs when I swap utilities of place.
Everytime i miss clicked, i rage-quit and flogged myself. I got better that way.
I usually misspress my thumb buttons on my mouse, wasting my heals and utility slot skills. That and a well know misclick/camera turn bug which causes the game to alt-tab out.
A lot, if not most of my skills are just the regular buttons I’ve had since I bought the game but I do tend to miss click during fights. The absolute worst buttons is the ‘h’ or ‘g’ as that opens up the god forsaken guild/hero panel which clogs up the entire screen and I know I’m dead by then. Haha.
Maybe I will have to allocate them to other keys…
Sometimes I misclick and drop target or switch to the wrong target. Other than that, no.
Though I do recall a funny moment in PvP when a Mesmer misclicked onto my Flesh Golem. Turns out, Moa’d Flesh Golem still can charge just as well. Makes me want to have a bone minion Moa’d for an exploding bird.
I have fairly large hands. It’s hard not to mispress keys. I have to be fairly careful, but I fat finger keys more than I would like to admit. I just keep trying harder to be more precise.

I hate when people said that in WoW, but owned them there as well. This made me want to go into SPvP and try it as a clicker to show just how good a clicker really can be.
Don’t be mad, simply because you suck as a clicker. Don’t project your bad skills as a clicker on others.
I’m sayin’ it loud! I’m clickin’ and i’m proud!

If you have issues with using skills on keyboard, not being able to reach them fast enough or w/e.It’d be a good thing to invest some money in a mouse with 12 side buttons, ever since i got my razer naga some years ago i cannot go without it.Being able to use all skills with only your thumb is a night and day difference compared to using keyboard for skills.
If you do decide to go for one,i really advice to test the mouse youre going for first, see if you like the grip and how it fits in your hand. For e.g i bought the naga 2014 some months ago after owning the 2012 version…and ive quickly returned it to the shop for another 2012 version since the 2014 side buttons clicked too easily ( I accidently clicked 6 Alot when using 5 – 3 or 9 ) and the grip was off for the size of my hand.

Misclick? No.
Lose track of my cursor on the screen in the middle of fights because of all the particle effects? Yes.
Anyway to turn particle effects completely off?

Nop.

I would appreciate a way to make my cursor a bit more visible on my screen at the least.

Has been suggested dozens of times.
Edit: A way to lower or disable particle effects aswell.
Aaarghh going to type in chat, but I haven’t properly clicked inside the text box so as soon as I type, up come all the kitten inventory, guild, hero panels etc…. oooooo very annoying! And accidentally pressing my Windows button. Not much else though – sign of too many mispent evenings and weekends
Yeah, I do misclick, especially with my engineer. I keep trying to press 1 to throw grenades only to realize that I got my tool kit in hand so I am just waving my wrench like an idiot.
Yes, frequently lol. Apparently even muscle memory fails me in the heat of battle. XD
With the crappy keyboard I have with short keys and with top and side buttons not being large enough for my liking on mice yet I definitely get misclicks in fights in games.
On occasion. I have the first profession ability bound to V with my bag button as B and in PvP is not uncommon to hit the wrong one/both of them. Similarly, F is dodge and G is the guild panel, and I’ve missed those up afair few times as well. I bought a mouse with 4 extra buttons on it, which led me to my current keybinds, but if something quality (read: Logitech) goes on sale at a reasonable price I’ll probably pick it up.

Clicking is pretty objectively worse then actually hitting the buttons, especially for classes like Ele or Engineer.
The most common key I accidentally hit is E which is my bind for elite util.. Quite annoying..

I really wish they would put it as left mouse to activate the skill, right mouse to bring up the menu to select skills, instead of that dinky little pull down bar on top.
Other than that yes I do mis-click every once in a while too, especially the 4, 5 buttons. My heal dodge f1-4 keys are on my mouse so everything else is good.
Well… tbh I clicked like 2 months when I played my first mmo (loooong ago) and saw how clunky it can be.
Developed my personal preset where I use QWES + right mouse click for moving, middle mouse for jumping, space for targeting enemies and shift+tab for targeting friendly units. This leaves me A D F R, Shift + A D F R, Tab, shift + middle mouse, shift + space, 1 2 3, shift + 1 2 3 for easy and fast skill access.
May seem hard to get used to when you see it like this but it’s extremely fast since all your skills/spells are there like 1cm far from your fingers.

Tab. TAB. TAB!!! Not switch weapon!
Yup. Me and my fat fingers. Good thing I already know I’m terrible at PvP.
My little brother who has a disability that causes quite severe dexterity problems can’t use a keyboard due to the placement so he relies on a mouse. When he tried a keyboard he couldn’t bend his fingers far enough to be able to hit the skills he wanted with any speed.

Re-bind him stuff and make them closer to movement controls. Might take a while to get used to but practice does wonders.

I have re-bound some of his buttons to make things easier for him but due to his condition he literally cannot straighten his fingers or bend them in much further so he finds a mouse more comfortable. I’ve been musing on trying to find a controller with GW2 as his hands curve more comfortably that way and limit movement to his thumbs.
To give you the short answer: Nope.
Long answer: I haven’t “clicked” on any skills or used “click” to target since uh… 2005? I only did that up until Lv 20 or so in WoW, then rebinded all my keys, used tab to target, etc. since.
I did have to click when healing in WoW, but in combat or tanking; never.
This kind of stayed with me since, with every MMO I played.
Except the isometric kind like Ragnarok Online and (soonish) Tree of Savior.
i have 12345 7890 on my keyboard, the healing and skill No7 (a utility that i keep using over and over again such as FGJ or something like that) are on my mouse.
Sadly i dont have a mouse with 30 buttons
Do you guys misclick in fights?
Does a bear ……. …. ….. ……….
#truth
:)
Do not believe anyone whom say’s they don’t flub up.
Sure do. Not that often, and when I do it’s usually hitting the 6 skill instead of the 5, or tapping both but the game activates the 6. Usually never happens when I actually need the heal, either.

By far my most common missclick too, also sometimes tend to hit 4 and specially 6 instead of 5, geuss i really should completely unbind heal skill from 6 since i have it bought on my mouse too xD, pretty rare though for it to happen
accidentally pressing my Windows button.
On my last keyboard I became so annoyed that I physically removed the Windows key from it. The keyboard I’m on now doesn’t have one thankfully.
