I have done dailies since headstart, except for when work travel or other things beyond my control prevent it. I like them, it’s something to do that suits my playstyle. I am not focused on getting uber-gear or mini-pets or anything. I know, I’m odd. =P
I really have to special goals, I just like playing the game. =)

Sometimes I feel “forced” to do daily, but really, it’s only because I want to get things fast… like another ascended amulet or another accessory. Frankly, for a casual gamer that only has one or two 80s characters…you don’t have to log in everyday to do laurels. But for people who play everyday with 4 or more 80s and who want to equip all their capped characters with ascended gears, they kinda need to do daily everyday. I cry a little inside when I hear people spending laurels on stuff like dyes….wtf. Just No.

I should add that the daily does encourage me to go explore and complete quests in different maps. It’s sort of like a nice little generic in-game goal that you can follow in order to progress in this game. It’s a step in the right direction to keep players interested and active in Gw2’s contents.

That said, Guild Wars 2 encourages you to play it casually by punishing you if you play too much. At least that has been my experience.

I do them every time I play. After a while you get down to completing them in 15min or less and the rewards for that amount of time are too good to pass up.

I do, most of the time they are achievable in under less than 30 minutes, which is wonderful when I am too busy with real life concerns. Furthermore, I try to make them fun, by completing them with content I usually like to play normally, rather than forcing myself to do them as a forced chore. The laurels have been a wonderful addition to all types of players, casual and non-casual alike-the dailies take time, but not enough to make it too difficult to achieve when you don’t have that much time to play.

Note that dailies are easier now to achieve than they were before, so to be honest, there’s no downside to the system as far as I am concerned.

I would encourage players that don’t do the monthly to start doing it slowly, because now it’s very doable with casual play as well. You don’t “need” those ten laurels and karma jugs, but free stuff for your playing time is always nice.

If I have little time, I log on with MF gear character and do the daily, then log off. If I have more time I log on to the same character, do daily, then log onto my main and go to WvW or explore some or level one of my alts.
If I get lucky, enough members are on for a guild mission, but that is rare.

No, even though i need them now more then ever (need mystic coins for legendary). I hate dailys with a passion ever since WoW went full swing with them in WOTLK , dailys in GW2 while easy i really dont go out of my way for unless im absurdly close. Even if i have 4/5 i wont go and finish it as id rather do other things.

I try to do them every day I can, mainly for the laurels and the karma jugs (though I have 50 unused in the bank) and it’s usually very quick if you know where to do them.

Some tips, for example, if I have a zone killer daily, and an underwater killer, then killing stuff underwater in that zone counts for both, if I get the daily resurrecter and/or daily variety killer, then I head to thaumanova reactor in metrica province, veteran and/or champion killer, I go to the area where the jungle wurm spawns (directly south of the twilight arbor entrance), orr pent/shelter area, or if tequatl is within the spawning window, the lab near the waypoint for the krait lab attack event that spawns veterans and champions if there are enough people around to do them, and so on.

The fastest I’ve done the dailies that I can remember was once I had killing variety, maguman killer, daily healer (ressing allies) and daily events… just hanging out in the thaumanova reactor when the fire elemental pre-events began put me 4/5 daily very easily.

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

I used to pay attention to completing dailies. Oddly enough around the time laurels were introduced and the daily structure changed I stopped making an effort. Now, dailies seem to happen to me during regular play, especially in WvW. So I will check the status I am at and finish them off if it’s no big effort and coincides with what I was going to do anyhow.

I have two accounts and do them almost every day for both accounts. This is even though they are slowly sucking the fun out of the game for me. The rewards are just to great to ignore.

I really wish they would expand the daily variety to include elements that can be readily achieved just by going out and exploring the broader PvE world, rather than being made to jump through so many tightly specific hoops. Another issue is that DEs in one form or another are often in the dailies, but the low density of DEs in the level 35-80 game world, along with the very low broadcast range, really forces people to just stick to the appropriate starter zone or 15-25 zone for their daily completion.

The dailies would be fine if you could adventure in any level range zone and have roughly equal efficiency in completing your daily. They would be even better if they covered things like Hearts, PoIs and Vistas, on top of the current selection, so that people could go back to exploring and free roaming with out having to sacrifice daily completions.

I play every day, but no…I can’t be bothered to do the dailies everyday. If I’m really bored and have nothing better to do, sure. If I’m working on an alt, sure. Otherwise, it just isn’t worth the effort for me.

I do my dailies everyday =D

Since I am waiting to start FotM until after I craft my legendary I need an alternative way to get Acended gear right now. So far I have two pieces and I will be getting my 3rd next week. I usually never skip on doing my daily unless I am doing something irl. And unless I happen to finish a lot of the dailies that particular day in PvE, I will do the PvP daily which is a bit more interesting than going around gathering stuff.

When I finish my Acended pieces I will still do them in hopes they will release other cool stuff to buy with laurels.
