PVP chests are supposed to mimic looting several mobs of that chest, eg ‘Risen Mage Loot Boxes’ and are openly affected by Magic Find.

Therefore, since magic find affects PVP chests, I wonder if Diminishing Returns affects your chests if you opened a whole bunch of them (100+) at once.

I have also heard if you loot several exotics from mobs, etc, DR scales alot faster to prevent high magic find players from consecutively looting exotics.

So if I opened 100 chests or so at a time (so I can stack all my MF buffs) and got a few good items, would I be wasting pvp chests opening any more?

If there was DR on PvP Reward Chests, it would operate on acquiring, not opening. I would imagine they work just as Lucky Envelopes did. Stack up your MF bonuses, and open all.

I think the whole ‘several exotics from mobs at once causes DR’ is a unsubstantiated rumor.

PVP chests are affected by Magic find, and magic find is affected by DR. I read that forum too, but it didnt answer the question, unfortunately.

Please explain how having DR on the PvP chest would make any sense at all.

Acquiring the chests already have a builtin form of DR.
1) there is a daily limit on how much progress you can get per track through custom arenas
2) matches need to have a minimum length to give rewards
3) time spent in queue

Perhaps it did answer the question, in its own way.
