I was wondering if it is better to build up a higher magic find before opening Black Lion chests. Does Luck or Magic Find have ANY impact whatsoever on their rewards, or are they purely random?
Luck just effects mob drops and I believe some aspects of pvp drops. It does not effect chests or bags that you open. The boost you get in Silverwastes is a separate matter again.
The only exceptions on chests and bags, such as some of the ones from the HoT content, say specifically in the description that they are affected by mf. Otherwise they do not.
