We got the new shield skin, does it belong to Kasmeer?

EDIT: Is it the part of the future look of Kasmeer?

I immediately thought of her phoenix outfit upon seeing the shield too.

Has she ever been seen using it? It would be unusual for them to introduce new equipment themed around an NPC before showing the NPC using it so if she hasn’t used it before it’d be surprising if it was hers.

But if I remember correctly she hasn’t been in the living story for a while so maybe she’ll be using it next time we see her and they just wanted to make it available now as part of the March sales.

It would definitely go with the phoenix armour, whether that’s intentional or not.

Yeah thats the thing after hot we havent seen her so i suppose it took time to create her new looks.

I was actually thinking of an actual goddess, not Kasmeer since she’s no god.
I wonder how Kasmeer will look like in her new outfit,

Dwayna or Kormir looks like it.
(Yes, I know Dwayna got her own ’’weapon collection’’, but it looks it’s from her theme.)

Would make sense seeing as they are slowly turning each of the new destiny’s edge into their respective elite specialization.

My first thought was Dwyna, but when you look at the color scheme…

It reminds me more of the Auric weapons, but mostly the Auric ascended backpack. That thing has such odd metal and coloration it is near impossible to dye armor to match.

The feather style is deff more Kas though.

Ultimate thoughts… The designer done screwed up colors leading us all on wild thoughts.

I think that would explain why she wasnt in ls3 yet. Perhaps she is studying the new magic of mesmer and she will show herself as the chronomancer. That would be great.

I don’t see why they’d give us the shield long before actually showing her using it, if it is indeed meant to be something related to her. It’d be one thing if they were just adding it to the game and it was only found through datamining, but actually selling it in the Gem Store seems odd.

Besides, while the feather motif somewhat matches her old style, she’ll likely be getting a new outfit like all the other Dragon’s Watch members. So its a bit of a stretch to assume it’ll match her new style as well. And its not like the female Phoenix armor is the only armor or weapon set in the game with a feather motif either.

And I really don’t see Kasmeer becoming a Chronomancer either, personally. Yeah, some of the DW members have taken up elite specs, but its not something that’s been universal by any means (Rox isn’t showing any signs of taking up Druid, and Taimi is still questionable what her normal class is). Chronomancer just doesn’t seem to fit with Kasmeer at all. Braham is literally making it his mission to hunt dragons AND wanted to take up his mother’s bow in memory of her, so making him a Dragonhunter makes a lot of sense. Majory is probably more related to the weapon choice than anything thematic to do with Reaper (though perhaps increased anger and aggression = reaper?), but that’s still a reason to e-spec her. There’s really not any reason for Kasmeer to become a Chronomancer. Her strengths seem to be more based on illusions (both creating and dispelling them) so if anything I’d expect her to take up a future E-Spec based on that concept.

Kasmeer is Lazarus, doing some crazy switcheroo shenanigans to become Goddess of the White Mantle to use them as a force for good! /crackpottheory.

Hmm I know it looks a bit like Dwayna shield and this is why the shield is called: “of the Goddess”.

Well, it looks good opposite my Calcite Antique Sword on my white-winged, gold-armored Guardian, opposite the Soaring Longbow.
