So does anyone just walk? The scenery is often highly beautiful
and all we do a lot of the time as a means for transportation,
is running. So does anyone ever walk? I do.

If you want to walk, follow this path:

Escape >>>Options >>>Control Options >>> Find “Walk” In The List >>> Chose a Hotkey for it.

Had a walking train of us in Lions Arch using mystery tonics the other week, was quiet fun

So in other words, no, you don’t walk. Gotcha.

If I’m following a particularly slow escort npc I will, or if I want to look awesome while using a transformation tonic in LA.

Yeah, I walk quite often. Setting that hotkey was one of the first things I did in the game. It’s especially useful for thoroughly exploring cities and well-populated areas when you want to to talk to all the NPCs.

I sometimes do, my favorite place to take a walk is Divinity’s Reach because of all the houses you can enter, the guide tours and I also just really like the look of that city

I walk when I’m escorting a caravan. This is a lot easier than having to run/stop/run/stop, etc just to keep in the area of the caravan.

I walk in my PS when the story warrants it. I don’t think you should run up the Queen, for instance!

And I walk when I am in a very nice area with beautiful views….

I see people walking quite often, not just on escort’s. In fact, Saturday night, there was about 8-12 people just walking. I went over to them and asked what they were doing & was told they were patrolling. This was in Diessa (sp). So I joined them. Walked around for awhile, just talking and killing anything in the way.

I walk when doing escort events, you see like 10-20 players run a few yards then stop and wait, run,stop,wait… i just walk with the escort. Other than that, despite how beautiful the world is, most of the time i’m trying to get to places as fast as possible.
