There are dozens of great items on merchants that I don’t think I have ever seen anyone using in game while playing

Whispers spy kits
experimental teleport device
healing seed pods
Ice gun
Golem in a box
Ogre wolf whistle

to name a few.

Anyone else using these items? and if so in what situations do you find them useful?

I use some of them, but there’s a guy in my guild that has more gadgets than James Bond.

Yesterday I got stuck in a dungeon. Stupid mesmer staff skill teleported me back into something I couldn’t get out of. I was stuck in architecture. Not the first time it happened.

My blink wouldn’t get me out. We didn’t have another mesmer to portal me. Suddenly this guy breaks out his experimental teleportation gun and I’m free. Which is cool because I couldn’t teleport because we were still in combat with a boss.

He also lays down healing seed pods (same dungeon at a place where we had to keep an NPC alive), and he uses both the golems and the ogre pet whistles.

He used to use the spy kit to farm the rich oric. vein in Southsun Cove. I have a lot of this stuff, and always forget to use it though. lol

Those items are all neat little gadgets that can be useful at one point or another. I’d buy up a little stock of each to use myself, but right now I’m focusing more on saving up my karma for Obsidian Shards and a few T3 Cultural Weapons.

I’m sure there are a lot more I haven’t discovered, but I also find I forget about them most of the time as they are in my backpack – Would love to have a space above my main skillbar to place a few.

They’re definitely one of the best features in the game that is currently underused.

There are many consumables that have very strong use. Some more than others.

Everyone should have a stack of ash legion spy kits. They are extremely useful in many fractals. Are good for PvE as agro droppers.

Portal guns are good to have, the item that summons fire elemental pet is rather nice, ogre pet whistle is more of a toy but it’s fun to have a hawkeye griffon pet as a guardian.

The temp. pet items are great for the personal story if you play a class that not the best solo. At least i think you can use them in the story.

I keep spy kits and teleport guns on all my characters at all times. I mostly use healing pods on my ele since I can drop one and blast a lot.

Oh yes, Spy kits, they have saved Mine and my Guildies many times over in dungeons and Fractals. Especially the Dredge Fractal. Jumping on those pressure plates, then use a kit to drop aggro while another kites them around…lol

Those special items are a perfect example how the enviromental weapons can change your playstyle on the fly. I love them.

I love them and I keep a few on most of my characters-
I love dropping the harpy pheromones on random people in LA :P
I just really wish we had a bar above our skill bar for them because I often forget about the seed pods etc in my backpack.

I only have 4 of those things out of your list, and 3 of them are not bought with karma. But yes, I use them.
