Does anyone use magic find amulet infusion?
I do, just because exp and karma are easy to come by and those are the only other choices iirc.
I do it on characters I play mostly in the open world with. Just try to get as much magic find on them as I can.
No specific gear for it. It is only the amulet, so any gear set can work. You should use it for open world events that have alot of mobs for the best chance at a good drop.

have on all characters +karma for most profit
Got several, use it everywhere.
You can put enough agony infusions into other gear, and the +5 stat is not noticeable and can be sacrificed for some extra MF.
Get the karma one! Trust me the last thing you want to be doing is having to farm karma, It sucks.
Don’t. The last thing you want to farm is karma, because you get more than enough by simply playing the game
Magic Find on my open world/dungeon amulet, Karma for my WvW and Agony Resist for Fractals. There is laurels a plenty to get more than one Amulet/infusion.

yeah – but onl the people who are bad at math say this
with karma you can make most profit in this game^^
I have it on 3 chars ^^

You can make most profit in this game by playing the TP.
You can farm most gold by farming gold. 20 minutes of farming sandstorm events give you tons of T6, T5 and lodestones (charged included), plus geodes for clay pots.
Skillpoints are 2g each when converted properly.
Karma is 1g for ~13k. 13k is 1 hour of farming EoTM and forging-selling. 1g per hour? No, thanks.
I don’t use any MF Consumables or gear.
I personally feel that MF is a waste of time as with the current RNG system there is no way to measure the benefits of MF… Personally I think it’s all smoke and mirrors. It’s nothing but a number with no mechanics behind it.
You cannot prove I’m right or wrong… So I don’t invest in it at all (aside from account bound luck)
I use gold % ^ amulet infusion.
every salvage you do increases MF, but dungeon runs give a set amount of gold.

I used to think (build op, pls nerf) like you, but then I took a nerf to the knee.

I am sorry but you’re wrong, Try spending all your karma then go after a legendary and see how long it takes you “just playing the game” to get you the needed 525k karma. You will have to farm it like crazy.
If your company gives you 40 lunch vouchers per month but you sell them to a friend for some quick cash, that’s not your company’s fault that you start starving at work.
There’s next to no reason to spend karma apart from some skins and obsi shards, especially since the removal of transmutation stones. The “try spending all your karma” was where you’ve done it wrong
I use the magic find infusion in my amulets in fractals. With my ascended armor and weapons, I get more than enough AR, so I would like to have something more useful on the amulet.
It’s very true there is no way for us to be sure how/if MF works. But it’s safe to say that rhe higher your MF is the less benefit you will get from additional +20 % MF. Also, remember MF doesn’t affect what comes out of champion chests, bonus chest or World boss chests either.
Then again, I believe it’s true you get enough karma as it is just playing the game. It sure is for me at least. Actualy it has been true for gold too. Then again I don’t enjoy farming. If you dedicate yourself to certain farms I am sure there are different optimal builds/buffs. Anyway, I have had enough karma for 4 legendaries and karma-eq when I still used exotics so karma has never been a problem for me.
When it comes to gold/exp infusion they only affect the gold/exp from kills. When I compare exp/gold I get from kills with the exp/gold I get as rewards for events and finishing dungeons the exp/gold from kills is close to nothing.
So basically, I would say the MF infusion is most useful to a new player but unless you are drowning in Laurels I am sure there many more efficient ways to use your Laurels…
That said, I myself have MF on most of my toons, Karma on one WvW toon and a WvW-infusion on the second WvW-toon.

This is absolutely not true for those of us who make lots of legendaries (I’ve made 6) and make lots of ascended gear (3 full sets of armor, about 12-14 weapons) and spend all of our time in dungeons and very little to none in wvw/EoTM/open world events . The only regular karma I make is that little piddly amount you get from your daily chest.
Every little drop of karma matters then quite a bit.

I doubt that 24/7 dungeon grinding for 6+ legendaries and full ascended is what describes a generic player asking about MF infusions.
Regardless, karma is not abundant for casual players either since the bountiful karma era has ended.
I too use a karma infusion, and it helps quite a bit gathering those shards and recipes I need when crafting ascended or filling up my wardrobe.
I personally find the MF infusion absolutely pointless as chests and bags, arguably the most ‘rewarding’ parts of the game, are not even influenced by it. And drops, which are, have a modest, questionable increase from it.
Do wvw and karma is abundant. Karma is a pain to get rid of even thought you can make 15-25g per hour by doing karma to linen with the mystic forge.
The amulet infusions:
MF- best for people do alot of mob zerg events. Open world events were you tag dozens of mobs increases the chance of rare/exotics. Max magic find 1-2 exotics a week. Without magic find was finding 1 exotic every month.
Gold- best for people that spend most of their time in dungeons. Bosses drop alot of silver.
Karma- best for people that do not do wvw. Wvwers have millions of karma with nothing to use it on.

Only half a million? Dang, I dropped that much on obsidian shards when Balthazar was open. I still have a million karma.
Running with a +20% MF is okay, I suppose. Can’t say I notice any difference.

i have 300 magi find and use the infusion.. i do notice an increase in yellows, but to be quite honest i don’t notice a huge difference between 220% -350% magic find.. so for the exception of a few extra rares each day, you have to consider if it’s worth pushing magic find and investing in boosters as well.. also, i was recently given a huge slap on the wrist simply for grinding open world content, so.. i’m really not sure what i can ‘recommend’ to people at this point
