As a Bomb Kit Engineer, I do agree that distance AOE abilities are a little crazy in Dungeons and WvW since you can nuke down mobs fairly safely. However, my PBAoE bombs are a real risk; I am effectively a melee character with this kit and I have to play very smartly in order to be able to bomb effectively. Are bombs (and other PBAoE abilities) included in the upcoming nerfs?

As a fellow Bomb Kit Engineer, I was wondering about this too.

This. I play an elementalist, and basically the entire dagger/dagger and dagger/focus skills are all point-blank AOEs. There are 2 dagger skills that are single target. A bunch of the scepter skills are also point-blank AOE, which definitely don’t need a nerf, scepter is lame as-is.

No All of my necro staff build is AoE. It doesn’t do a lot of damage. Actually it does ridiculously little damage. AoE’s need buffing, not nerfing. Way to ruin the game Anet. It’s going to be warrior galore soon

Anet does not kittening care about this game anymore, if they did, a lot would be different, like the removal of the kitten DR from the game!
