Now that the Ascended Chests’ drop rate has been nerfed into oblivion as a way to force players into HoT’s content in order to get them, which, I’ll admit, is just another one of ANet’s clever—albeit somewhat of a kitten move—business decisions, the only way for me to get my hands on Ascended Armor pieces (I need the Balls of Dark Energy), other than resorting to currency exchange and the Gem Store, which seem to be ANet’s new economy meta, sadly (cause let’s face it, unless you play more than 2 hours a day, it’ll take months and upwards of a year to get enough gold for things like Legendaries and the items needed to craft them), is to participate in Raids. At least there I’ll have better chances to get Ascended Stuff, right? I’m sure the drop rate is nice, right? Right, guys?

With that out of the way, how do I go about doing it? Where do I have to go to participate in a Raid and get a chance at Ascended Stuff as rewards?

Though, your actual start should be with finding a guild/group/friends you can trust and run with reliably.
