Doing The Right Thing
Megaservers mean less PvE servers for Anet to provide = lower costs.
Now thanks to people leaving the game, mainly due to no WvW updates, anet have lost a bit of their income.
Some WvW refuse to buy anthing with real money on the gem store until WvW is fixed and given new content.
And you know when the above happens thousands of WvW players will come back to see how things are like. And if they like what they see they will continue playing and support the game.
When EOTM was released, a lot of people came back, but they quickly saw what it really was and then left. As you said, Anet just have to do the right thing. The first being listen to the community.
megaserver didnt save them as much as people think , and yeah they just need to listen and learn that all i/we ask please listen or atleast look like you are..lol..
we have concerns and thoughts please look at them and reply before just adding things like a steam roller and saying live with it
Megaserver’s main problem is the “soft sorting”, which doesn’t seem to work at all when it’s supposed to.
Hopefully we get optional queue system back with “hard sorting” options we can choose from, since Party-JoinInMapCopy clicking is very annoying.
Also some system to allow us to retain our place in map copy, should we get a disconnect, so that we can reconnect back to our original map copy (This kind of system exists in GW1, allows us to reconnect to same instance we were in, to same party, if game crashes or connection is lost).
Megaserver system didn’t save ANet the server costs, every player is still part of the same world they are, the system only puts players together to ensure there’s players on each map, and that there’s no such thing as “Dead map”.
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.
