I was doing ‘A Grisly Shipment’. After dying a couple of times I finally get to the point of going to the highest point of the sh… “the game was unable to connect to the server. Please try again later” o.O

Is there any way to continue from the point where you got disconnected? There doesn’t seem to be any. This is an online game and disconnects are likely to happen; GW1 was mostly based on instances and had a way to get back when this happened. :s

Right now I just have to do it all over again, likely die again, and hope I don’t get disconnected… again. Oh, and I also need to repair my armor before doing it… again. :’(

Is this going to be improved any time soon? Getting killed by an invulnerable mob (that gets to full health and turns back to finish you off because the z-axis is especially borked in underwater combat) is manageable. Getting thrown out the ship by a monster skill and then land near a mine that explodes and kills you is tolerable. Having to do it all over again, on the other hand… >.<

I know how you feel. Yesterday, I had to do it four times. It was finally sorted out after I stopped played the SM.

Once, the instance was over and I was stuck after a cut scene in which I was invulnerable after which I got disconnected. When I reconnected, luckily, the SM was over and I had got the reward as well but not the XP.

Yeah, it continues to be annoying to get: “The game client lost its connection to the server. Please wait a few minutes before restarting the client and trying again (Code=7:11:3:189:101)”.

Should be more like: “We’re so sorry you got disconnected. Here’s 1,000 gems for your trouble while we come up with a proper solution to this issue.”

I got disconnected again when I was trying to do ‘Armor Guard’. I’m on my third attempt with this one.

This is being a bad time for me to do the personal story. I finished the PS with my other char some weeks ago. It ran a lot better then.

As far as I can tell, when you get disconnected, you start again. I haven’t found a way to start where you left off. On that note, if you are doing a disguise story do NOT hit your H key. Hitting H key while in disguise in a story instantly crashes your game to desktop. I’ve tried it several times to see if it was a fluke and I bug reported it as well, but just be forewarned.
